The quest “ … and my sugar” serves as a critical point before you start your journey as a pirate captain. This quest also tests your ability to be stealthy in enemy territory. Failing to do so means triggering alarms, facing an overwhelming number of forces, and putting your life at risk
And the prize at risk.
This stealth guide helps you to slip past patrolling guards undetected, locate the warehouse keys, and reclaim your items, which have been confiscated by Havana guards.
How to get the Quest
The quest is auto-triggered in the storyline when you have a brawl in the tavern, and the guards confiscate your items, including the sugar from Stede Bonnet.
To start the quest, you need to meet Stede Bonnet at the docks, and he will inform you about the situation. From here, we need to eavesdrop on the guards in front of us, as shown in the image below.
In the conversation, you will learn that the items are in the possession of Captain Mendoza. You can find him at the execution place. Just follow the green marker on top of your screen, as shown in the image below.
After the execution, follow the Captain without getting detected until you reach the Castillo entrance. As shown in the image below.
At this point, look to your left to find a wooden structure built against the wall. Climb to the top of it and make your way to the other side of the edge, as shown in the image below.
Next, use the wall-mounted wooden beams to reach other wooden structures, as shown in the image below.
From there, you will land on another wooden scaffolding structure. Now jump straight up to catch the small wooden beams at the top and jump to your left, as shown in the image below.
Once you’re at the top, immediately hide behind the wooden boxes and wait for the guards to move, then move to the right. You can hide in the loose hay, as shown in the image below.
Captain Mendoze would be on patrol, wait for him to get to your location, and then steal the keys to the storage room, as shown in the image below.
Once you steal the keys, climb up the wooden boxes to reach the rooftop, as shown in the image below.
Right under you is the storage room. A lone guard is stationed near the door; quickly knock him out and get inside to complete the quest.
