The Minecrawler Queen is one of the major boss encounters of the main storyline in Gothic 1 Remake. It crowns the Minecrawler Nest quest with a tense multi phase boss fight that tests your skills. This guide shows the attack patterns of Minecrawler Queen, how to evade her attacks and how to defeat each phase.
Minecrawler Queen Moveset
The Minecrawler Queen’s offense is relatively focused and consists of a few distinct moves across both phases. In each phase she relies on close-range melee strikes, while supplementing a web shot for ranged attacks. During the second phase she gains an additional belly slam attack, a powerful AOE attack that deals massive damage and can stagger the player.
Web Shot

When you keep your distance from the Minecrawler Queen, she frequently resorts to firing web shots as her primary ranged attacks. These attacks force you to close the gap between you and the queen.
Melee Attack

The Queen uses a three hit combo you must watch for, a fast opening strike, a follow up hit and often a wide sweeping blow. In 2nd phase she frequently begins with the sweep, when you see that incoming sweep blow, dodge forward towards the queen and then immediately dodge sideways to evade the follow up strikes.
Belly Slam

In phase 2 the queen gains a belly slam attack she uses when you’re too close, to avoid it dodge beneath her as she slams down – the invulnerability frames during the roll let you pass through safely and open a short window to land follow up hits.
Defeating Minecrawler Queen

When you enter the boss arena in phase 1, immediately get to the Queen’s right as shown in the above image. During this stage the Queen remains stationary, so her attacks cannot reach you from that position. Staying on her right gives you enough time to land your hits and clear the first phase without taking damage.
In phase 2, quickly move closer to the Queen and force her to use her belly slam attack, during the belly slam dodge towards the queen which will give you invulnerability frames and a short window to land your attacks. Repeat the process, time your dodges and don’t get caught up in her melee combo and you should be able to defeat the Minecrawler Queen.
