Tomatoes in Windrose are a common seedbed crop found in the Foothills and used in several cooking recipes that grant useful combat buffs. You can also buy tomatoes from food merchants, but the fastest long term supply is to harvest wild tomato plants for seeds and then plant them in seedbeds after gathering fertile soil. This short guide shows where to find wild tomatoes.
Foothills Biome
You need to progress the main questline to the Foothills biome to be able to obtain the Tomatoes to your inventory.
To unlock the Foothills biome, you have to defeat the Coastal Jungle Boss – Thomas Richards. You can also check out my guide to defeat him at Thomas Richards : Coastal Jungle.
Obtaining Tomato
Navigate to any island in Foothills biome and explore the highlands of the foothills. You’ll be able to spot a small plant with tomatoes as shown in the above second image. These are grown very commonly throughout foothills, so make sure to grab as much as you can. You’ll also get tomato seeds which you can later use to harvest more tomatoes at your own farm back at the base.

Tomato Uses
Obtaining tomatoes will unlock new recipes like Taco, Tomato Juice etc that will boost your stats temporarily but last for longer duration. For example – Taco increases your maximum health which lasts for 30 minutes, but it also gives you 20 mastery points temporarily which boosts your crit chance.
