In Dragon’s Dogma 2, there are a number of side quests available that are missable due to progression through the storyline, timing, or choices made by the player. This guide covers all side quests that are considered missable, noting when each becomes available, how to complete them, and at what points they will no longer be available, helping you experience all narrative content in a single playthrough.
All Missable Side Quests
The Nameless Village

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, the Nameless Village is a side quest that can be missed. Only after completing at least one of Brant’s objectives and completing the seat of the Sovran can this side quest be initiated with the dialogue option, “Tell me of the false Sovran.” This side quest will no longer be available after the completion of the main quest, 10: Feast of Deception. The Nameless Village is located far away from Vernworth, so the best way to reach it is using the southern route through the Eastern Forest, since the main road is blocked.

You will be able to collect evidence while in the village by locating a Folded Letter inside one of the residences on the northern pathway that leads out of the village. In addition, you will have to talk to the man within the Old Noble Manor and make sure to exhaust all dialogue options, including “Ask about brass.” The next stop on your quest is to proceed northwest from the location of the manor, where you will find the Nameless Village Depths.
Here, complete a short arena style platforming challenge to reach the area called the Thief Maister and speak to him twice, selecting the highlighted area of dialogue. Finally, once your investigation has been completed, make your way back to the village of Vernworth and inform Brant of the false Sovran to complete your quest!
Readvent of Calamity

The Readvent of Calamity is a side quest that can be missed in Dragon’s Dogma 2 if you don’t enter Battahl at least once before returning to Melve. After arriving back at Melve, you may see a cutscene introducing a dragon attacking the town. To complete this quest, you need to finish it prior to completing main quest 10: Feast of Deception, otherwise, the quest will no longer be available for completion.

When this dragon is attacking, some of the townspeople will fight alongside you making it a fairly simple encounter against the dragon. Focus your attacks on the red pulsating weak points located on both of its legs and neck in order to inflict more damage and stagger the dragon. After the dragon’s health is reduced to approximately three health bars, the dragon will fly away and you will gain access to a conversation with Sigurd which gives you access to the Mystic Spearhand vocation.

After this part of the game, you will need to take a break for one day by travelling away from Melve, then come back to check on Melve’s condition. This will lead to a scene at Ulrika’s house where Lennart explains that he is looking for Ulrika. She can be found in the village of Harve. When you confront her there, the sidequest Trouble on the Cape is activated. Speaking with Ulrika in this quest or afterwards fulfills the objective. When you have completed this quest, return to Melve and tell Lennart that she is safe; this will conclude the Readvent of Calamity quest.
The Arisen’s Shadow

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, a side quest that you may miss is the Arisen’s Shadow. You will be able to start it after you complete one or more of Brant’s goals in Vernworth. For the Arisen’s Shadow side quest to be automatically added, you must already be inside Vernworth city. Remember, you will have to finish it before Main Quest 10: Feast of Deception, or you will not be able to continue with this side quest afterwards.

The objective involves tracking down a suspicious individual who is clearly following you around the Merchant Quarter. When approached, they flee east toward a dead-end within the nearby housing area. Chasing them down allows you to grab them and decide whether to turn them in or let them go, either of which completes the quest. Turning the pursuer in rewards you with a Battahl border pass, which is optional and mainly serves a role-playing purpose.
Every Rose Has Its Thorn

Every Rose Has Its Thorn is a highly missable side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that becomes available shortly after Feast of Deception. To trigger it, you must visit Wilhelmina at the Rose Chateau in Vernworth, raise her affinity to the maximum by gifting her the Bunch of Flowers, then leave the city and rest for several days elsewhere.
Returning at night reveals a hidden cutscene through a secret peephole, after which Wilhelmina asks for your help. From this point onward, the quest is on a strict three-day timer, and failing to act quickly can lock it permanently until New Game+. The objective is to uncover proof of Allard’s crimes, including a Murder Report hidden in his estate and Bribery Investigation Findings found in Vernworth.
The evidence must be delivered to Captain Brant in the correct order to secure his aid, then handed to Wilhelmina to trigger the final confrontation at the Rose Chateau. The quest ends with Allard’s death, your escape with Brant’s help, and—if you own a house in Vernworth—a final letter and personal scene with Wilhelmina.
