How to Obtain Dragon Keys in Where Winds Meet

In Where Winds Meet, Dragon Keys are uncommon progression items that are not something you’ll typically accumulate at early levels of the game. Instead of a random drop, they are tied to tasks and at each location you only receive one key. If you’re looking to access hidden dojos or obtain unique weapons, understanding where to get these keys early can save a lot of wandering and confusion.

Ways to Earn Dragon Keys

Dragon Keys are tied to a few specific activities in Where Winds Meet, and you won’t stumble into many by accident. Early on, there are only two confirmed sources, and each one grants a single keys.

  • There’s a quest called Skill Theft: Rightful Acquisition, which becomes available once your character reaches level 8. Completing it gives you another Dragon Key. The quest is short and doesn’t involve anything complicated, so it’s an easy pickup early in the game.
  • As you explore Qinghe, you’ll run into Outposts controlled by enemies. Clearing one for the first time rewards you with a Dragon Key. It’s a one-and-done reward, meaning you can’t repeat the same Outpost to stack more keys.

What Dragon Keys Are Used For

Dragon Keys are used on the pedestals found outside sealed dojos throughout Qinghe. Once a key is placed, the dojo unlocks and you can collect the weapon or technique stored inside. Some of these locations include the Panacea Fan near the Northern Bamboo Grave Boundary Stone and the Inkwell Fan found in Buddha Village on the northwest side of Sundara Land.
