Hinako’s Room puzzle Solution for All Difficulty –  in Silent Hill f

In Silent Hill f, one of the trickiest challenges you’ll face in Shimizu Residence I is Hinako’s Room Puzzle. You won’t be able to solve it right away since it only unlocks after you complete the other puzzles in the area. This guide will walk you through where to find each crest and how to place them on the plaque outside Hinako’s Room for all four possible endings.

Hinako’s Room puzzle Location in Silent Hill f

In Shimizu Residence I, you’ll come across the My Room Puzzle, but you can’t solve it right away you’ll first need to finish the other puzzles in the area. The exact solution changes depending on which ending you’re heading toward, but don’t worry, the Crest locations themselves don’t change, no matter what puzzle difficulty you’re playing on.

The Scales Crest is your reward for finishing the Scales Puzzle in Shimizu Residence II. To find it, head to the upper-left side of the area and look for a half-open door. Solve the puzzle inside, and a drawer will unlock, revealing the crest.

The White Bird and Fox Crest comes from the Ominous Photo Puzzle in Shimizu Residence I. Once you solve it, check behind the large picture frame to grab the crest.

The Black Bird and Sword Crest is located in Shimizu Residence III, inside the room that needs the Fletching Key. When you enter, you’ll see a short cutscene with Hinako’s parents, and after that, you can claim the crest.

After collecting all three crests, take them back to the first area and place them on the plaque right outside Hinako’s Room.

Ending 1

When you place the crests on the plaque, the Sword Crest goes on the left, the Fox Crest goes on the right, and the Heavens Crest goes at the top. The bottom slot stays empty, but you’ll need to flip the Scales Crest upside down before placing it.

Ending 2

For this version of the puzzle, the Scales Crest goes on the left, the Black Bird Crest goes on the right (but you’ll need to flip the Sword with the square button), and the Fox Crest is placed at the top. The bottom slot stays empty, but this time you have to flip the Heavens Crest with the square button before setting it in place.

Ending 3

In this setup, place the White Bird Crest on the left, but make sure to flip the Fox Crest with the square button before doing so. The Scales Crest goes on the right, the Sword Crest sits at the top, and the bottom slot stays empty. Just remember to flip the Heavens Crest with the square button before placing it.

Ending 4

For this arrangement, put the White Bird Crest on the left, but first flip the Fox Crest using the square button. The Black Bird Crest goes on the right, though you’ll need to flip the Sword Crest with the square button beforehand. The top slot stays empty, but you’ll place the Scales Crest there after flipping it with the square button. Finally, the Heavens Crest goes at the bottom.
