Perfect Chroma Catalysts are incredibly rare, especially during your first playthrough. You’ll only find them in certain optional areas, and getting your hands on one usually means taking down some tough mini-bosses. Here’s where you can get them:

  • Flying Manor: This place has several chances to earn a Catalyst. Defeat the Lampmaster, any of the Eveque bosses (Flame, Frost, or Thunder), Dualliste, or Clea to get one each.
  • Renoir’s Drafts: You can get a Catalyst by defeating the Chromatic Creation here.
  • The Abyss: Take down Simon in this area, and you’ll be rewarded with two Catalysts.
  • Endless Tower: Completing Trial 3 of Stage 11 will earn you one Catalyst. Be prepared though you’ll need to beat the Painted Love, a fusion of the Paintress and the Curator.
  • The Continent: You can find one Catalyst by defeating Serpenphare. This boss is hidden away and you’ll need Esquie’s fly ability to reach them.

So, if you’re aiming to collect Perfect Chroma Catalysts, make sure to explore these areas thoroughly and be ready for some fights.

How to Use Perfect Chroma Catalyst

Perfect Chroma Catalysts are a rare upgrade material used to upgrade your weapon to its final level. You’ll need one of these to upgrade a weapon from level 32 to 33. Before you can do this, make sure you’ve unlocked the Curator at your Camp. Once he’s available, just talk to him and choose “Upgrade Weapons” to use the Catalyst and max out your gear.
