In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Bamboo Shoots are special critters you can find hidden around the world. They pop out of the ground and try to run away as soon as you get close, so you need to catch them quickly. These Bamboo Shoots are worth collecting because you can trade them with the Panda NPC for useful items. Below, we’ve listed all the Bamboo Shoot locations in the Worship’s Rise region to help you grab them all.

Little creatures known as bamboo shoots emerge from the ground and attempt to flee as soon as you approach them. If you don’t remove them quickly enough, they will re-burrow into the ground and vanish. But don’t worry, you can force them to return by resting at the closest shrine. These Bamboo Shoots can be gathered and exchanged for special items with the Panda NPC.

First Bamboo Shoot Location – Lightzen Temple

Fallen Feathers is likely to be the first Bamboo Shoot creature you encounter in Wuchang. Once you’ve vanquished the Man-Eating Dhutanga, proceed through the door leading outdoors. You should see the little guy emerge if you turn right and maintain eye contact with the ground.

Second Bamboo Shoot Location – Shu Sanctum (Cave Path)

Proceed directly from the point where you first encounter Nian Suichang. You will soon see another Bamboo Shoot. This one vanishes as it approaches the cave entrance, so don’t linger too long.

Third Bamboo Shoot Location – Shu Sanctum (Storyteller Reward)

You can obtain a Bamboo Shoot in a different way inside the same cave where you initially encounter the Panda NPC. Speak with the Storyteller there before you depart. He will give you one if you continue to go through all of his dialogue options.

Fourth Bamboo Shoot Location – Shu Sanctum (Village Yard)

Proceed through the barn on your left after battling the fire-breathing demon in the village yard. Another Bamboo Shoot creature will appear in the garden.

Fifth Bamboo Shoot Location – Mercury Workshop

Getting this one is a little more difficult. Go down one level from Mercury Workshop’s quick travel station. To get to an area with red vine-like tendrils, look for a hallway that has a ladder that you can climb. You will ultimately see the Bamboo Shoot if you continue through there.

Sixth Bamboo Shoot Location – Doomwillow Beach

Continue playing through the region until you encounter the Red-Clad Lady. Then turn right and down the sloping route. When the Bamboo Shoot reaches a puddle of blood at the end, it will dart off and disappear, so if you want to catch it, act quickly.

Seventh Bamboo Shoot Location – Tang Palace (Palace Hill)

Past the Shrine in this area, look along the left side of the path and you’ll see this tiny plant moving around.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
