The Serpent’s Chest Puzzle

To start the Serpent’s Chest puzzle fast travel to the Wat Chana Songkhram checkpoint in the Sukhothai region. From the checkpoint, crawl under the wall and head left, then cross the bridge leading into Voss’ camp. Wear the Royal Army Uniform, found in the camp to enter the area. Once you reach the end of the bridge and enter the camp, look to your right. You will spot a green tent beyond a truck. Inside the green tent, you will find the Serpent’s Chest. To access it, jump over the knee-high wall at the end of the chain-link fence to reach the tent’s entrance. Once inside, look on the table next to the chest to find Voss’ Letter.

The Voss’ Letter

According to Voss’ Letter, the keys to the Serpent’s Chest have been scattered across the world. To retrieve them, you will need to travel to Vatican City, Gizeh, and Shanghai. Once you have gathered all three keys, you can return to Voss’ camp in Sukhothai to unlock the chest.

The Vatican City Key location

The first key, the Vatican City Key, is hidden in the underground area beneath the Excavation Site. Start by fast travelling to the Excavation Site. Then descend into the pit using the platforms to break your fall. Once you reach the large open chamber at the bottom, turn around and look for a small gap in the wall behind you.

Now move through the passageway, following its twists and turns, until you come across a hole. Jump down into the water below, then swim through the underwater doorway ahead. Continue swimming until you reach a spacious open room. From there, look straight ahead and slightly to the left for the next passage. Climb out of the water and squeeze through a narrow gap in the wall to enter a maze-like area.

Navigating the maze can be confusing, but the lit torches provide a helpful guide. Keep following them until you reach a steep drop-off with wooden boards forming a ramp. Head down the ramp, turn right, and crawl through a small hole. You will soon come to a railing overlooking water, with a broken bridge above you. Instead of crossing the bridge, jump into the water and swim toward the far wall.

At the far wall, dive underwater and find a passageway in the centre. Swim through it until you encounter a large wooden barrier. Interact with it to lift it, then emerge from the water. Climb the stairs, and at the top, you will find the Ancient Vatican Key lying on the ground.

The Gizeh Key Key location

The Gizeh Key is located at the Tomb of Khentkawes excavation site. To begin, head to the centre of the excavation area where the elevator is located. Now head towards the section where the Nazis have been pumping out water. Follow the large water hose leading from the pump to ensure you are on the right path.

Now take the first right, go up the stairs, and then make a left into the large open chamber filled with water. Cross this room, avoiding any patrolling enemies, and head to the far wall. Once there, jump into the water and look for an underwater passageway along the wall. Swim through and emerge on the other side.

Although the lit path leads to the left, dive back into the water and examine the wall on your right. You will find a wooden barrier blocking a passage. Interact with it to clear the way and swim through to claim the Ancient Gizeh Key.

The Shanghai Key Location

To retrieve the Shanghai Key return to the spot where Indy and Gian first discovered the plane. Begin by traversing the rooftop, jumping across a gap, and dropping into a burning building ahead. Once inside, keep to the right and jump over a large hole in the floor. You may get stuck on some broken wood, but keep jumping until you are clear. Shimmy across the narrow strip of floor attached to the wall ahead, then turn right, followed by a left, to exit the building.

Once outside, jump across rooftops until you reach the fire. From there, turn right to find a narrow alleyway. Move through the connected building and continue until you can safely descend to the ground. You should now be near a canal with a broken bridge.

Follow the canal to the right until you reach the wall, then jump into the water. Look for a small gap between the sidewalk and the wall, where you will find an underwater passage blocked by a wooden plank. Clear the plank by interacting with it, then swim through the passage to find the Ancient Shanghai Key on the other side.
