In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players will uncover many hidden secrets and challenges scattered across the eerie and dangerous world of the Zone. Among these is the Rostok Military Safe, a key feature of the side quest “Seek and You Shall Find,” set in the enigmatic Zalissya region.
Hidden within a treacherous barracks filled with deadly gravity anomalies, the safe holds valuable rewards for those brave enough to unlock its secrets. This guide will walk you through the steps to uncover the three-part code, defeat the formidable Burer guarding the final piece, and ultimately unlock the safe’s valuable contents.
Rostok Military Safe in Stalker 2

The safe is part of a side quest called “Seek and You Shall Find”. You can find it quite early in your journey through the Zalissya region. In STALKER 2, a large settlement called Rostok is located north of the Lesser Zone.
Just beyond Rostok, there’s a secret place with barracks full of strange gravity anomalies. To enter the barracks, go through the main entrance on the east side and move left. Inside the large room, you’ll encounter many dangerous gravity anomalies. Use your bolts to neutralize them and move forward.
You’ll find a safe at the back of the barracks. Near the safe, you’ll discover the body of a soldier with a PDA. This PDA contains a clue to a three-part code for the safe. This code was shared among a group of soldiers, so you’ll need to find the other parts of the code to open the safe.
How to Get the Safe Code
Each part of the code is found on a soldier of a different rank. To figure out the correct order of the code, you’ll need to identify the ranks of the soldiers. The code should be arranged in descending order of rank. So, the code from the highest-ranking soldier will be the first part of the code. Private – Sergeant – First Lieutenant. Once you pick up a dead soldier’s PDA, you’ll find the code in the notes section of your PDA.
First Lieutenant Rostok Military Safe Code
The First Lieutenant’s PDA, which holds the first part of the code, is located in the same room as the safe. It is also in one of the corners of the barracks.
Sergeant Rostok Military Safe Code
The Sergeant’s PDA, which contains the second part of the code, is also within the barracks. It’s concealed behind a group of green lockers.
Private Rostok Military Safe Code
The final piece of the code, from the Private’s PDA, can be found in a ruined building southwest of the barracks. It’s near the skeleton of a soldier on top of some crates. However, be careful! A powerful Burer mutant, capable of creating a force field, guards this area.
How to Beat the Burer Mutant
Burers are tough enemies with high health and powerful attacks. They primarily use telekinesis and psychic abilities to damage players. Defeating a Burer can be challenging due to their abilities and durability.
One effective strategy to defeat a Burer is to wait for it to lower its protective shield. Then, take cover behind a solid object and throw grenades at it. Alternatively, if you have a rifle with a medium-range scope, aim for its head. Consistent headshots will eventually weaken and defeat the Burer.
Once you’ve gathered all three parts of the code, return to the barracks in Rostok. Use the keypad next to the safe to input the code: 195726. The code to open the safe is always the same, regardless of your playthrough. This should unlock the safe. Inside the safe, you’ll find a blueprint for a weapon and many valuable items, such as healing materials, food, and ammo.
How to Get the Riemann in Stalker 2
You will get the Journalist’s Stash in the far-right area, behind the large room near the bunk beds. Inside the bag, you will find the Riemann weapon. The Riemann is a variant of the Integral-A weapon. The main difference is that the Riemann has an integrated sound moderator, a longer handguard, and a specialized barrel.
