    POE2 Distilled Emotions

In Path of Exile 2, Distilled Emotions are an interesting and highly effective endgame currency. Mainly received from tough Delirium challenges, these unique items give the player extreme personalization opportunities with their characters. By mixing and matching different Distilled Emotions, players can unlock extremely powerful passive skills on amulets or place valuable bonuses on Waystones. This adds depth and strategic decision-making to character builds, allowing players to tailor their experience to the kind of gameplay they want to play.

    Distilled Emotions in POE2

Distilled Emotions are a kind of endgame currency item that can frequently drop from Delirium encounters within maps. They come in many forms, such as Ire, Envy, Guilt, and Greed, among others. These items are used to enhance amulets by adding unique passive abilities. These abilities are above standard modifiers and offer a more powerful customizing option for advanced builds and effects tailored to the different playstyles.

    How to Farm Distilled Emotions

In these Delirium Map Nodes maps, you’ll find a ‘Delirium Mirror’. Activating it unleashes a chaotic fog filled with powerful monsters. The longer you fight these monsters, the more ‘Distilled Emotions’ you’ll earn at the end, but be careful – the fog can be dangerous! The number of Distilled Emotions you receive depends on how many monsters you defeat and your character’s ability to find rare items.

In the endgame, you can trade with Alva. Choose the ‘Currency Exchange’ option. Select ‘Exalt Orbs’ (the main currency) in the ‘I Have’ section. Then, choose the specific ‘Distilled Emotion’ you want in the ‘I Want’ section. The exchange rate will instantly appear, showing how many Exalt Orbs you need to trade for that Distilled Emotion. Once you offer the required amount of Exalt Orbs, you’ll immediately receive the Distilled Emotion.

    How to Use Distilled Emotions

To use your collected Distilled Emotions, open a special window. You can choose any three emotions to combine, and then add an amulet or a Waystone to enhance the effect of the combined emotions. The way the amulet or Waystone enhances the effect depends on the specific emotions you choose.

How to Use Distilled Emotions in Waystones

When you use Distilled Emotions to improve a Waystone, it can give you extra special effects. The more of the same type of emotion you use, the stronger these special effects will become.

Each Distilled Emotion you use also increases the amount of dangerous ‘Delirium fog’ in the map. The more fog there is, the more powerful monsters you’ll encounter. If you use enough emotions, you might even face incredibly strong and unique monsters like Kosis or Omniphobia. These special monsters have a chance to drop valuable items called ‘Simulacrum Splinters,’ but they won’t give you more Distilled Emotions. Here’s a breakdown of the Distilled Emotion Waystone effects:

    • Despair:
      • Increases Delirium level for players.
      • Boosts the number of Simulacrum Splinters.
    • Disgust:
      • Increases Delirium level for players.
      • Increases the chance of finding Precursor Tablets.
    • Envy:
      • Increases Delirium level for players.
      • Increases the chance of finding Waystones.
    • Fear:
      • Increases Delirium level for players.
      • Gives rare monsters an extra effect.
    • Greed:
      • Increases Delirium level for players slightly.
      • Improves the quality of items found.
    • Guilt:
      • Increases Delirium level for players slightly.
      • Increases the number of monsters in packs.
    • Ire:
      • Increases Delirium level for players slightly.
      • Increases the number of Magic Monsters.
    • Isolation:
      • Significantly increases Delirium level for players.
    • Paranoia:
      • Increases Delirium level for players slightly.
      • Increases the number of Rare Monsters.
    • Suffering:
      • Increases Delirium level for players.
      • Gives Unique Monsters an extra effect.

How to Use Distilled Emotions in Amulets

Using Distilled Emotions on an amulet can unlock powerful passive skills. The order in which you combine the emotions matters a lot! Luckily, you don’t have to guess. Hover over a passive skill in the skill tree while holding down the ‘Alt’ key. This will show you exactly which combination of Distilled Emotions you need to unlock that skill.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
