PEAK – How to Get Needlepoint Badge

The Needlepoint Badge in PEAK’s Mesa update might seem easy, but there’s more to it than just brushing up against a cactus. To unlock it, you’ll need to let multiple small cactus balls latch onto you before pulling them out. This guide covers exactly where to find these tricky plants, how to get them to stick, and the steps to secure the badge.

How To Get the Needlepoint Badge in PEAK

The game’s description for the Needlepoint Badge says to “have a lot of cactuses stick to you,” but that’s only part of the requirement. To make it count, you’ll also need to remove them afterward.

Start by heading to the Mesa biome and searching for the small, round cactus balls scattered across the sand. Walk close enough to one, and it will automatically attach itself to your character. Keep collecting them in this way until you have five stuck to you at the same time.

Be careful while doing this, as having several attached will slowly drain your health. If you ignore it for too long, it could cut your run short. Once you manage to have five cactus balls clinging to you, the badge will unlock instantly. This remains true even if your character dies or the run ends right after.

If you’re playing in co-op, your friends can make things easier by helping to pull the cactuses out once you’ve met the requirement. Just remember not to remove any too soon — wait until at least five are attached at the same time before plucking them out, or the badge won’t register.

Where To Find Cactuses in PEAK

The Needlepoint Badge can only be completed in the Mesa biome — a dry, desert-like zone added in the update. While exploring, you’ll see cacti of various shapes and sizes, but only the small cactus balls will work for this achievement.

These cactus balls blend into the sand, so they can be tricky to spot. Once you get close, they’ll attach to your character automatically. They’ll stay stuck until you manually remove them, so there’s no rush or risk of losing them before you hit the required number.
