The Minecrawler Nest quest sends you into the deeper tunnels of the Old Mines, where these tunnels are occupied by vicious minecrawlers. This guide walks you through the entire sequence – starting the quest, steps to recruit other NPC’s, convincing Ian and what dangers lie beyond the tunnels.
Minecrawler Nest Quest
To start the Minecrawler Nest quest you first need to complete a few missions given by Y’Berion, after those are complete he directs you to consult Cor Kalom about the concussion for the ritual. When you speak with Kalom he explains that there isn’t enough minecrawler juice to supply all sleepers for the ritual and so he tasks you to locate the minecrawler nest located within the Old Mine. Kalom instructs you to meet Lester afterward for additional instructions and to coordinate the next steps.
Cor Angar
Before you head to the Minecrawler’s Nest, you need to speak with Cor Angar to gather information about the minecrawlers but he refuses to teach you anything unless you defeat one of the templars Gor Na Dun. Make sure to sheathe your weapon right after you defeat him otherwise other templars will rush in and kill you. After defeating the templar, speak with Cor Angar and you’ll learn about harvesting minecrawler’s glands.
Lester Location
Make your way to the Old Mines and head to the lowest level of the mine to reach the collapsed tunnel. There you’ll notice Lester talking with another NPC at the entrance of the collapsed tunnel. Speak with Lester and he will ask you to gather 3 Templars to help clearing the nest and also speak with Ian to get the permission to reopen the collapsed tunnel.
Gathering Templars
You need to gather 3 templars to help you clear the nest. You can find 2 templars at the base of the mine, Gor Na Kosh and Gor Na Vid. To find the third templar, head to the above levels and look for Gor Na Bar and ask him to help.
Convincing Ian
After you’ve gathered templars to help you, speak with Ian and he will task you with a side quest Cog in the Wheel where you need to find a cog component so that the operations at the base of the mine can resume.

Regrouping
After completing the cog in the wheel quest, return to the entrance of the Old Mine and speak with Lester. Follow him to regroup with other members – Diego, Milton and Gorn where Gorn gives you an explosive barrel and Milton gives you the spell to cast upon the barrel and cause an explosion to clear the debris inside the collapsed tunnel, while Diego pursues Ian and convinces him to reopen the tunnel.
MineCrawler Nest
After reopening the collapsed tunnel, you need to fight your way to reach the Minecrawler Queen. Defeat the queen to extract the gland and return back to Cor Kalom and hand over the queen’s gland to complete the quest.
