How to Unlock the Long Forgotten Flame MH Wilds
To start the “Long Forgotten Flame” quest, talk to Werner. After a cutscene, you’ll have to fight off the Ajarakan. Once you’ve defeated the monster, be sure to gather any materials from its remains before the quest moves forward, you won’t get another chance. The rewards for slaying the Ajarakan can vary, but here’s what we got: 2 Ajarakan Certificates, 3 Ajarakan Shells, and 2 more Ajarakan Shells. On top of that, the rest of the rewards included 4 Armor Spheres, 6 Honeys, 1 Machalite Ore, 6480z, 37 Guild Points, and some Palico points.
Defeating Nu Udra
Another cutscene will follow, and afterwards, you’ll have some time to make final preparations. It’s a good idea to stock up on cool drinks and useful items like Watermoss. Consider bringing water-based weapons and Shock Traps to help in the upcoming battle against the Black Flame.
When you’re ready, hop onto your Seikret and start tracking the Black Flame, also known as Nu Udra. Follow your Scoutflies through the cavern, they’ll eventually lead you to a hole in the wall. Jump through it, and you’ll find a pit elevator. Use it to continue your hunt. Don’t forget to carve up the carcass for some useful loot, you never know what extra materials you might find before the quest wraps up. The rewards for slaying the Black Flame can vary, but here’s what we got: 2 Nu Udra Certificates, 1 Nu Udra Tentacle, 1 Nu Udra Oilmucus, 2 Nu Udra Hides, and 2 Nu Udra Claws. As for the rest of the rewards, we picked up 2 Armor Spheres+, 2 Honeys, 1 Machalite Ore, 1 Mystery Orb – Armor, 9000z, 45 Guild Points, and some Palico points.
