KCD2 Hermit’s Grave Location for Hermit’s Sword

To be able to get the Hermit’s Sword from Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, here is a guide that takes you through every detail. The Side Quest for Hermit includes questioning villagers, discovery of secret places, and selection of some pivotal decisions that alter your reward. Whether you decide to help the Knights of the Cross of the Red Star or to assist Konrad in escaping, your ultimate aim is to find Ambrose’s Sword and hand it over to Blacksmith Radovan for smelting. Upon completion, you will gain valuable items in return, besides being able to attend the wedding in Semine. Follow this step-by-step guide to uncover the Hermit’s secrets and claim your prize.

The Hermit Side Quest

Before completing the quest or visiting the Hermit, talk to the villagers in Troskowitz to gather more information. Start by speaking with Betty at the Tavern and go through all her dialogue options – she’ll point you to Gerda. You’ll find Gerda sitting on a bench outside a house in the growing area south of the main road. Convince or pay her, and she’ll provide two leads.

First, head west to the cross with a Spade and dig up a buried bag. Inside, you’ll find three lore books and a Crusaders of the Red Star Waffenrock, which serves as armor cover. Next, visit the herdsboy just south of Apollonia’s entrance. Like Gerda, you’ll need to convince or pay him for information about the knights and a new location to explore east of the Hermit’s home.

Travel north to a stable in the woods, examine the black horse, and uncover the mystery of the devil. With this information, you can finally talk to the Hermit and reveal what you’ve learned. He’ll admit to taking Ambrose’s place and ask for your help, delivering a message of forgiveness to a woman in a nearby graveyard.

Completing this task isn’t necessary if you already know the sword’s location, but it boosts your reputation. You’ll also need a Spade to move old bones between graves. Once done, return to Gerda to share your findings, she’ll reward you with a book that improves your Alchemy skill when read. After reading, you can sell the book for extra coin.

Hermit’s Grave Location

In Apollonia, head to the northern edge after speaking with the women of Troskowitz, especially Betty, the bar maiden you worked for during the prologue, she’ll give you more details about his location. Then, check the large marked area on your map.

To find his home, go to the center of the rocky cliff path where the road splits into five directions. From there, follow the path south, curve around the corner, and you’ll come across a small box canyon, this is where the hermit lives.

How to Get Hermit’s Sword

To find the Hermit’s Sword, head west from the Hermit’s home. Start at the five-point crossroads and move west until you reach a field where two trees are intertwined. There, you’ll see a Knight’s Grave marked by a sword. The exact location is northwest of the Hermit’s home, in a meadow with white trees.

Look for a cleared patch of ground with a broken sword stuck in the dirt, you don’t need to visit the Hermit beforehand. Simply go to this spot to complete the quest and collect the Damascus Steel blade. And just a heads-up: Ambrose’s grave is empty, so there’s no point in digging it up.

As you follow these steps, you’ll come across a group of Knights of the Cross of the Red Star attempting to capture the Hermit. You can either help them or assist Konrad in escaping. Siding with the knights will earn you some money, and you can also sell the Knight’s Chronicle book, found in a hidden grave, to Brother Arn after the battle.

If you choose to help Konrad, he’ll reveal the sword’s location. If you side with the knights, you can loot the body to find what you need. Either way, collect Ambrose’s Sword and take it to Blacksmith Radovan. He’ll ask you to forge it, which will finally grant you entry to the wedding in Semine.
