Ready to explore new worlds in Revenge of the Savage Planet? This guide walks you through unlocking interplanetary travel using the Planetary Cannon, from completing key missions to launching to Xephyr and using teleporters for smooth, fast travel between planets. Let’s get started!
Getting the Planetary Cannon Up and Running
Before you can start zipping off to new worlds, you’ll need to activate the Planetary Cannon located at the NuFlorida habitat on Stellaris Prime. The game does point you in the right direction, but with so many missions flying at you at once, it’s easy to lose track. The key one to focus on is the quest called “That Has My Name On It.” Stick with that one and you’ll get the software you need before you know it.
Hack the Purple Box (And Survive the Ambush)
This mission eventually leads you to a purple container that your trusty drone, Eko, can hack open. While Eko does its thing, you’ll have to hold your ground inside a circle while waves of enemies try to interrupt. It’s not too tough though—you can either fight them off or just dodge and wait for the timer to finish. Pro tip: avoiding combat until the hack is done means fewer enemies to deal with overall.
Call Down the Cannon and Blast Off to Xephyr
Once you’ve got the software, return to your habitat and interact with the console just outside your base. No need to craft anything—the cannon will land right in the middle of your base on its own. This also opens the path to your next destination: the dusty, arid planet of Xephyr.
Teleporters Make Travel a Breeze
To head to Xephyr, just hop into the Planetary Cannon. After a short cutscene, you’ll be launched across space to your new planet. As soon as you land, you’ll get access to a teleporter, which makes getting back to your base super easy—no more cannon rides needed. In fact, you only ever need to use the Planetary Cannon once per planet. After that, teleporters handle all your travel needs, making the cannon more of a one-time launch tool than a permanent transport system.
