How to Unlock Stables in V Rising 1.1

V Rising’s latest update drops players into the Oakveil Woodlands—a spooky new biome that was once calm and serene but has now been overrun by corruption. This eerie forest is packed with tough enemies, hidden surprises, and a dangerous new threat. At the center of it all is Megara, the Serpent Queen, leading her loyal Venom Blades. To survive, you’ll need to rebuild your power, upgrade your castle, uncover the mystery behind venom sap, and take on Megara in her dark sanctuary.

Also, your horses finally get a proper home! With the new stable system, your trusty steeds can settle in at your castle. Not only do they feel more at ease, but feeding them boosts their performance. You can even unlock new perks for your favorite horses. This guide will walk you through how to get the stable up and running in V Rising 1.1.

How to Unlock the Stable

To unlock the Stables in V Rising 1.1, your first step is taking down Sir Erwin the Gallant Cavalier. He’s the first new boss you’ll come across in a fresh playthrough and is a level 46 fight. Remember that old racecourse area in the Dunley Farmlands that used to feel kind of empty? Well, it’s no longer the case—Sir Erwin now commands that space.

What makes this fight unique is that Erwin battles you on horseback, which means you’ll constantly be on the move, chasing him around just to get a few hits in. Taking him down is essential if you want to unlock the Stable and all the cool new mount-related upgrades that come with it.

How it Works

One of the first major changes involves horses. The stat ranges on horses have been significantly reduced—effectively nerfed. This change accompanies the introduction of stables, which now allow players to upgrade their horses over time. Early-game horse selection is no longer critical, as acquiring a vampire horse later on increases the maximum caps for all stats. Additionally, the maximum movement speed has been reduced from 11 to 10.

Within the stables, feeding horses various flowers affects specific traits such as movement speed, acceleration, and rotation speed. Furthermore, five vampire horse perks can be unlocked by feeding the horse specific elixirs. One standout perk-Thrust, enables the use of an ultimate ability while on horseback, allowing the rider to charge enemies, incapacitate them, and break minor obstacles in the path—both practical and entertaining.
