The Scoutmaster is a terrifying monster you can encounter in PEAK, but he doesn’t appear like other enemies. If you’re playing solo or with friends, there are different methods to make him show up, and there are also some rewards waiting for you after you find him.
How to spawn Scoutmaster Monster
The Scoutmaster only shows up in two ways: either when you wander far away from your squadmates, or when you use the Scoutmaster’s Bugle to call him. If you manage to find the Scoutmaster and let him grab and throw you, you’ll unlock the “Mentorship Badge” achievement. Plus, just getting chased by him also unlocks a cool cosmetic item called Inverted Eyes for your character.
Solo Players
The Scoutmaster may only be summoned when playing solo by utilising a unique artefact known as the Scoutmaster’s Bugle. It’s a legendary mythical item that’s super rare and hard to come by. However, blowing it will immediately eat up all of your additional stamina if you do locate one. Be prepared, though, as it also calls the Scoutmaster.
Once he shows up, he’ll start chasing you nonstop for over a minute. There’s no known way to fight him off or get rid of him. The Scoutmaster’s Bugle is a super rare item with a very low chance of appearing, and it only shows up when you’re playing solo. So if you’re in a group, you won’t be able to find it at all.
Co-op Players
If you’re playing solo and decide to leave your group behind to reach the mountain peak on your own while they’re still struggling below, the Scoutmaster will show up to punish you. He’ll only go after the player who ditched their friends; everyone else in the group will be completely safe.
