The ability of a business in Schedule 1 to grow and eventually prosper will hinge on the cultivation of various plants, and all players should endeavor to hasten this process as much as possible. For now, the game has three products: marijuana, meth, and cocaine. Among these, marijuana and cocaine come from plants planted from seeds. Each type of plant has its own growth rate, and the below tips can make the growing scale up faster.
How to Speed Up Plant Growth in Schedule 1
Your options are quite few at the starting point of the game, but as you advance through the various levels, unlock new items, and develop your character, things will surely change. The first thing you should do is check out some quests, as they will allow you to access the Warehouse when you complete some main story objectives.
Inside the Warehouse, you’ll find three dealers. Focus on visiting Oscar—he offers a variety of essential items, including advanced pots that outperform the default growth pods. These upgraded pots boost growth speed, helping your plants mature faster. While Oscar also sells a Plastic Pot, it doesn’t contribute to faster growth.
Lighting plays a major role in how quickly your plants grow. There are different lighting setups available, all purchasable from Oscar. Though these advanced setups cost more than the basic growth pods, they significantly increase your earning potential over time.
Advanced Pots in the Game:
- Moisture-Preserving Pot ($50): This pot doesn’t speed up growth but reduces moisture loss by 40%. It’s ideal if you want to minimize watering efforts.
- Air Pot ($120): Although it increases moisture drain by 30%, it speeds up plant growth by 15%.
Lighting Options:
- Simple LED Grow Light ($80): A step up from the Halogen Grow Light, this LED option boosts plant growth by 15%.
- Full Spectrum Grow Light ($200): This light enhances growth speed by 30%, offering the best performance.
Note that both lighting options require Suspension Racks, which cost about $40 each.
Even though the initial investment may seem high, it’s wise to build the most efficient setup possible. As you approach the endgame and begin automating properties, your focus will shift to meth and cocaine production. Cocaine, in particular, is made from Coca Leaves—each mature plant yields six leaves, and you’ll need the output from four fully-grown plants to produce ten units of cocaine. Therefore, speeding up the growth process is crucial for maximizing profits.
Also, don’t forget to hire Botanists. They’ll take care of your plants more effectively and automatically replant seeds once a plant finishes its life cycle.
