Gold in Windrose is as rare as it is valuable – not mined or smelted like common metals, it’s hidden in guarded ruins, chests and high risk points of interest across biomes like the Coastal Jungle. This guide pinpoints where you’re most likely to find Gold Ingots which can be used in jewelry crafting.
Underground Network Quest
It all starts with the Underground Network questline. When you reach Tortuga and inquire about the smugglers, you’ll be processed to a new location of a cave where you’ll find the Smugglers of Port Royale. And in the smugglers base, you’ll find Marita – who happens to ask you for a favor of finding her supplier Hale, who she hasn’t heard from in a long time. So, you’re sent to find out what happened to Hale.
Finding Hale
You’ll be sent to a new location on an island to find Hale. Other than the quest for finding Hale, there are other points of interest throughout the island which you can explore to gather resources.
Jungle Cave – Gold Ingots
And one of those points of interest is a Jungle Cave. You can find Gold Ingots inside the cave in one of the chests, but be careful as the place is crawling with Drowned Sailors.
Getting the Gold Ingots will unlock new schematics of high tier upgrades for gear, ship upgrades and you can now craft jewelry.
