How to Get Slayer Seal – Mortal Shell 2

The Slayer Seal in Mortal Shell 2 is the kind of item that can completely change the difficulty of the game; basically letting you play in normal mode instead of souls mode, which is the default difficulty setting. And luckily for you, if you’re having a hard time defeating the enemies, you can find the Slayer Seal early in the game at the Marrows Keep. But of course, an item like this doesn’t come without any complications, equipping this will give you an upperhand during fights by providing you powerful ability like Slayer Punch or even additional attributes to your ranged weapons which deal break damage, but it will disable the achievements.

Follow this guide to find the Slayer Seal, and learn what it does once equipped  – so you can decide whether it fits your playstyle. By the end, you’ll know exactly if grabbing and equipping the Slayer Seal is worth it.

    Slayer Seal Location

Head through the doorway behind the beacon in the Marrow keep, where the path shifts into a cave like tunnel. Keep moving forward until you come to a wider area where the layout opens up and becomes easier to spot landmarks.

Look forward to the edge of the cliff and you’ll notice a chair positioned near the drop and there’s a glowing red object that stands out on the chair.

    Slayer Seal

The object resting on the chair is the Slayer Seal. When you equip it, the game becomes noticeably more manageable, enemies give you more opportunities to punish them and your tools for breaking pressure increase from the moment you start using it. Just be aware that the Slayer Seal comes with a consequence: it disables achievements for that specific save file. That means you won’t earn achievements while playing with the Seal equipped, so if achievement progress matters to you, consider whether you want to equip it or not.

Now, here is what the slayer seal actually gives you. The biggest advantage is its effect on your sidearms – while equipped, your sidearms deal break damage and can trigger riposte attacks. In layman’s terms, you’re set to stagger enemies more frequently and land critical strikes with less effort than you normally need, ultimately tuning down the difficulty of the game.

It also grants an additional ability called Slayer Punch. During this attack, you will enter an invulnerable state, letting you ignore damage for the duration of the move and then you launch yourself on to the enemy over a large distance and hit them with a strong burst of damage which staggers the enemy and causes riposte damage. If your slayer punch successfully breaks the enemy’s riposte, you’ll be able to follow up with a critical hit. And if you manage to deal riposte critical hits, a small amount of your health and riposte will be restored.
