Does your Tadpole feel too slow for long trips? Well then the Scout Ray Chassis is a perfect upgrade for your Tadpole and you can obtain this mid-game. Scout Ray Chassis is one of the best upgrades worth chasing in Subnautica 2. It is designed to boost your speed, agility and overall maneuverability. This guide shows you exactly where to find the Scout Ray Chassis blueprint and how to craft it so you can get back to exploring deep waters with an agile vehicle.
Obtaining Scout Ray Chassis Blueprint

To obtain the blueprint of Scout Ray Chassis, you need to progress the story to the lava biome and reach the Tadpole Pens Base. After you reach the Tadpole Pens, head inside through the entrance and keep going straight and you’ll reach a room where a broken tadpole lies with scout ray chassis attached to it, scan it using the Scanner and you’ll obtain the blueprint of Scout Ray Chassis.
Crafting Scout Ray Chassis

Then return to your base and open the Vehicle Fabricator menu and you’ll notice a new component available to craft – Scout Ray Chassis, which requires plasteel ingots, advanced wiring kits, dedicated chip and strong acid.

After crafting the Scout Ray Chassis, pilot your tadpole closer to the chassis and it will automatically be equipped to your tadpole. You can also detach the chassis when it’s not needed or you need to squeeze through some narrow paths.
