If you are someone who loves ranged combat or guns, there is good news. Windrose allows you to equip one from the very start of the game. After all, it won’t be much of a pirate game if you do not have a pistol and a sword. But, there is a catch.
The game does not provide you with gunpowder at the start. You unlock the bullets as soon as you find stone, but need to progress quite a bit to be able to craft gunpowder. Fortunately, there are more than one ways to find gunpowder and that takes us to finding the chest at the traveller’s camp.
Traveller’s Camp Chest Location – Windrose
If you follow the map, going to the traveller’s camp is quite easy and you will spot the first chest right next to the camp. However, there is a second chest and it contains gunpowder.
To find the second chest, look around at the top of the trees in the vicinity of the camp. You will notice one of the trees has a red cloth tied at the top and there will likely be a level 3 boar near the tree.
Dig at the bottom of the tree and you will find the chest with the gunpowder and other rewards.
Craft a Shovel
A shovel is one of the first unlocks in the game and you should have it by now. If you do not, go to the Workbench and craft it. You need 3 x Copper and 10 x Wood to craft it.
Rewards
Finding the Traveller’s second chest provides some of the best rewards this early in the game. You get 10 x Homemade Gunpowder, 5 x Healing Potion, and 5 x Great Healing Potion.
