Taking SAM Sites will be one of the objectives that you will have to complete when playing Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. SAM Sites are able to take down enemy helicopters, and this will let you get loot for the Eye in the Sky mission. But before that, you have to eliminate all the enemies in the site and capture the SAM Site. Here’s how to commandeer a SAM Site and secure helicopter loot in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ.
How To Commandeer A SAM Site
The process of seizing a SAM Site in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ game begins with checking the map to locate a place where the missile launcher is. Proceed there, kill the enemy forces protecting this location, and then begin the capture. Normally, you will have to face about three enemies at this point; however, some more will appear when you start to seize this position. They may come either on foot or via helicopters.
All you have to do now is capture this SAM Site and hold it until the progress bar is filled. This part of the mission is not too difficult, and you can do it alone. Just remember the possibility that another player may come and steal your success. When the bar is filled, the SAM Site will change its colour to blue.
Secure Helicopter Loot
Having captured the SAM Site, you’ll have to wait until it targets the enemy helicopter. You may have to spend some time here, but it shouldn’t take too long. Eventually, the enemy helicopter will show up and start receiving missiles from the SAM Site. Usually, it takes about two strikes to destroy the helicopter.
Upon destroying the helicopter, the supply drop will spawn on your map. The location of the drop will depend on where the helicopter is destroyed, so you may have to walk a bit to get to it. Also, there may be enemy players nearby who guard the location, so you’ll have to clear the area of them first.
Luckily, accessing the supply drop is very quick. Just interact with it and grab all the items that it contains. While you do that, your captured SAM Site may destroy another helicopter and give you another supply drop.
Depending on your traits, you can capture the SAM Site for longer than usual, which will give you more opportunities to shoot down more helicopters and grab their loot. After collecting all of it, just go to the extraction point and exit the match.
