Fortnite is allowing players to claim the Blade of Champions pickaxe for free for a limited time during the event: Champions Road. Players simply have to participate in the Blade of Champions Cup on August 24th, 2025, while competing in Duos and accumulating points. Upon earning enough points in the event, players can unlock the Champion’s Blade-Splitter emote which is also an exclusive reward. How to Claim the Blade of Champions
Fortnite fans have a limited opportunity to claim the Blade of Champions pickaxe for free. To celebrate the Fortnite Global Championship coming to a close, Epic Games launched Champions Road giving players the opportunity to unlock returning cosmetics, including this pickaxe.
To claim the Blade of Champions, players can participate in the Blade of Champions Cup on Sunday, August 24th, 2025. Players need to compete in the tournament and earn a placing within the top teams in their region. Players who are victorious will claim the exclusive Champion’s Blade-Splitter emote!
Even if you don’t land in the top spots, earning just 8 points in the Cup is enough to claim the Blade of Champions spray, so there’s something for everyone.
Cup Format and Schedule
This Cup is part of the Reload Quick Cups during the Champions Road event. Quick Cups are split into two rounds of 45 minutes each, with the best players from Round 1 advancing to Round 2. The Blade of Champions Cup is a Duos event played in Reload mode. Exact start times depend on your timezone, so check the Compete tab for details in your region.
