Lead is a rare but essential material in Subnautica 2 – needed for crafting tools like the Sonic Resonator and other components. Knowing where to find dependable deposits saves long, frustrating hunts. This guide shows how to set up a scanner station and use it to find lead deposits.
Building Scanner Station

I recommend building a Scanner Station after you’ve built your base, because it helps you find resources in a 300M range which is a useful tool to find stuff faster.
Scanning for Lead

Then open the Scanner Station terminal and you’ll be presented with the resources that are available in a 300m range, select lead from the resources and it will show location on the holo map as shown in the second image.

Click on any of the locations on the holo map and a marker will appear on screen as shown in the above picture. Head to the marked location and you’ll find the lead deposits.
