How to Find Honeycomb
In PEAK, you can find honeycombs by breaking open beehives. As you explore the forest level, keep an eye out for beehives hanging on trees. Just grab one and toss it to the ground, it’ll break open and drop a few honeycombs. Honeycombs are really useful: you can eat them to fill your hunger and get a big boost to your stamina. Plus, collecting one is also part of completing the Gourmand Badge challenge.
Bees’ Location in PEAK
Beehives only appear in the Tropics, which is the second level in PEAK after you finish the Shore. You’ll find them hidden in a few tall trees scattered around the area. They’re usually high up, so you’ll need to climb the trees or use a rope to reach them. Be careful, though they’re surrounded by bees. Once you grab a hive and throw it down, it’ll break open and drop honeycombs for you to collect.
Bees in PEAK won’t bother you unless you mess with their hive. But if you do, they will come after you, and for a random amount of time, at a random speed. The only way to avoid getting hurt is to keep running until they stop chasing you. If you are playing with a team and want to gather resources from a hive, you can use a little strategy: have one person lure the bees away while the others quickly grab the loot.
