Atacamite is a mid-to-late game resource in Subnautica 2. A dark green crystal used to craft Mangalloy Ingots and advanced gear. Knowing where it spawns and how to harvest it saves time and unlocks key base tech. This guide pinpoints atacamite spawn zones, how to identify and mining tips so that you don’t fry your tadpole.
Atacamite Spawn Location

The best Atacamite spawn location is near the Alien Base which is the safest and easiest location and it’s just past the Observatory.

Dive ~240m deeper from the Alien Base using your tadpole, make sure to not dive deeper than 250 using your tadpole as the tadpole’s depth limit is up to 250m. Then exit the tadpole and reach the seabed.

On the seabed, you’ll notice some greenish crystals – these are Atacamite. Mine them using the sonic resonator. When you obtain the atacamite, you’ll unlock a new ingot recipe called Mangalloy Ingot.
Note : If you’re having difficulties to find the spawn location, use the Scanner Station to pinpoint the location of Atacamite.
