Once it’s raining, players can head to the forest’s peak provided they have the necessary gear. Catching the Goliath Squid unlocks the Monster (Squid) Hunter achievement.
What sets the Goliath Squid apart from other aquatic creatures is its massive size and the glowing patterns on its body, making it easier to spot especially at night, though it can still be found during the day if players pay close attention. How to Catch Giant Squid in MH Wilds
