How to Beat Patient 13 Terminus Boss in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Taking on Patient 13 in the Black Ops 6 Zombies Terminus easter egg is a tough challenge, but with the right prep and strategy, you can take down this powerful boss. Before jumping into the fight, make sure your team is properly geared up. It’s best to tackle Patient 13 before Round 20 to conserve ammo and avoid dealing with its massive health pool. This guide will discuss beating patient 13, Terminus’s final Boss in Black Ops 6 Zombies.

Recommended Augments

  • Probiotic Major Augment: This will give you an extra 50 health points when you use Juggernog.
  • Supercharged Major Augment: This will make your Field Upgrades charge faster when you use Speed Cola.
  • Dead Head and Dead Draw Augments: These are great for Deadshot Daquiri. Dead Head increases critical damage, while Dead Draw reduces hip-fire spread.

Weapons to Beat Patient 13 Terminus Boss

Before diving into the boss fight, make sure you’re fully equipped. At least one player on your team should have a Chopper Gunner ready to go. Everyone should have T2 armour vests, a T2 Pack-A-Punch weapon at purple rarity, and as many perks as possible. The key ones to have are Jugger-Nog, Quick Revive, Speed Cola, Stamin-Up, and PhD Flopper if you’ve got the Tribologist augment. It’s best to take on the boss before Round 20 to save on ammo and avoid dealing with its massive health pool. You can attempt the fight after Round 20, but by then, you’ll need T3 Pack-A-Punch weapons and T3 armour to deal enough damage.

Quick Tips to Beat Patient 13 Terminus Boss

  • Use the GS45 or LR7.62.
  • The Beamsmasher doesn’t do much damage, but it’s great for crowd control. The ray gun, however, is excellent for taking out Patient-13 and zombies.
  • The round won’t flip during the boss battle, so don’t worry about that.
  • At least one Chopper Gunner is a must-have.
  • Don’t hesitate to run away or use the water to your advantage.

How to Beat Patient 13 Terminus Boss

When you’re ready, interact with the door near Melee Macchiato to begin. Patient 13 has three phases.

First phase

In the first phase, the main attack to watch out for is the boss’ tentacle slam. After it raises its arms, it’ll slam its tentacles down onto the platform and swipe them sideways. This hits hard but isn’t a one-hit kill. The good news is that the slam will kill zombies, so you can herd them onto the platform and let the boss take care of them for you. It’s important to know that when the boss kills a zombie, you won’t get any items from it. So, if you need armour plates, make sure to kill any armoured zombies or Manglers yourself before the boss does.  Just stay close to the side of the boss, and the slam won’t hurt you.

To deal damage, look for a red pus sack underneath one of its appendages – that’s the weak spot. Focus all your firepower on it until the boss retreats underwater. Several tentacles will rise from the water, far away. They will shoot poisonous things at you. Each time Patient 13 resurfaces, its weak spot will move, so if you’re having trouble spotting it, use an ASG or an explosive weapon to hit its sides. The glowing side will indicate the new weak spot. Keep attacking until the boss has lost about 30% of its health.

At this point, it’s all about managing the zombies. Gather the zombies together and take them out with your weapons or lethal gear. Manglers are the real danger during this phase. Once you’ve cleared most of the zombies, a Max Ammo power-up will drop, signalling the start of the second phase. If you’re alone, it’s a good idea to bring Cymbal Monkeys and Decoy Grenades. These can distract the zombies, allowing you to focus on the boss.

Second Phase

Phase two plays out pretty similarly to the first. Now, Patient 13’s weak points are its mouth and the glowing sacks on its tentacles. When the boss is covered in volcanic armour, you’ll need to target its mouth to deal damage. Once the armour drops, focus on the yellow sacks growing on its tentacles to reduce its health.

Aside from the weak point shift, you’ll also need to watch out for Patient 13’s slam attacks. Getting hit by one of these is an instant down, so try to stay near the edges of the arena. If you’ve got Tribologist from PhD Flopper or the Hot Foot augment from Stamin-Up, this becomes much easier to manage. There’s no rush, so take your time. Focus on taking down another 30% of the boss’ health, then clear out the fodder zombies.

Third Phase

During the third and final phase, Patient 13 will be charged with electricity, surrounding the boss in blue energy. The weak point shifts to the boss’s glowing blue eyes, so take advantage of any safe moments to attack them. Slam attacks are still a threat, but now there’s also a wipe mechanic you’ll need to keep an eye on. Patient 13 will occasionally raise its tentacles and start charging up a wipe mechanic. You’ll need to get behind cover before the charged orb explodes, or it’ll instantly take you down. To avoid this, we suggest using the generator in the back-right corner of the arena as your cover.

Watch out for the boss’s tongue-grab attack, too. If it grabs you, shoot its tongue with whatever weapon you have to break free. This attack is deadly if you can’t interrupt it. If you have a Chopper Gunner or Mutant Injector, we highly recommend using one; either killstreak should make the final part of the fight much easier. When you see Patient 13 charging up electricity and blue sparks appear on your screen, quickly dive underwater to avoid a powerful shockwave attack. This attack can instantly defeat you. Just focus on avoiding the wipe attacks, taking out the Amalgams as they spawn, and you’ll be able to defeat the Patient 13 Terminus Boss in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
