Mecha Slappi is a secret boss you can fight in Revenge of the Savage Planet. This battle isn’t easy, but with the right steps, you can take him down. This guide will walk you through each phase so you know exactly what to do to beat Mecha Slappi.
How to Beat the Mecha Slappi
The Mecha Slappi boss fight has three distinct phases. Here’s how to get through each one:
Phase 1: Shoot the Weak Spots
The first phase is pretty straightforward. Mecha Slappi stands on a stage out of reach, so you’ll need to attack him from a distance. He’ll shoot a bunch of lasers, but they’re not too hard to dodge if you keep moving. Just stay focused and use your throwable items and Charged Shots to hit him. Aim for the pink weak spots on his hand guns and the pink circle on his chest. Keep an eye out for his main attacks he’ll drop lightning AOE strikes on the ground and fire a machine gun that’s easy to spot thanks to the red laser that shows where he’s aiming.
Phase 2: Shields and Minions
Some lava holes will appear around the arena, so you’ll have less space to move. Slappi will also call in a few minion enemies it’s best to take them out first before focusing on him again. Then, Slappi starts using color-coded shields. When he puts up a green shield, hit it with a Blight Bomb. Next, he’ll switch to a red shield, which you can break using a Bombegrante. Finally, when the blue shield shows up, use your Magnetic Fork to throw a crystal at him to disable it. If you run low on supplies, refills and crystals are placed along the edges of the arena. Keep an eye out for them while dodging attacks.
Phase 3: Final Push
For the last round, Slappi calls in more flying enemies. Focus on taking out their pink weak spots first. He won’t use shields this time, but he unleashes a ton of gunfire and attacks much faster. Stay on the move dodge constantly while keeping your aim on anything glowing pink. Once you take out all his weak spots, Slappi will finally go down.
