Celestial Maze, Desert Border Maze (Smoking Lands) Puzzle – Crimson Desert

The Celestial Maze or also called Smoking Lands Desert Mouth Maze, it’s located at the border of the Crimson Desert region. This maze is solved by flipping the sun/moon plates and until they are flipped the correct way which is shown by them being lit up on the map that is on the ground near the Abyss Cresset. This also corresponds to where exactly they are located. If you don’t want to bother checking the map every time you turn the plates then I can understand, so just follow my lead and cross check the symbols.

Celestial Maze Location

Head to this location, north of Demeniss. You’ll see a question mark area on the map when you are closer to the maze challenge and by solving this challenge you get an Abyss Artifact.

How to Turn the Pressure Plates?

You’d want Force Current skill for this to make it easier but you can also do it with Force Palm, you just need to get near the plates to use force palm but look out for the recoil from using the force palm, use the resist action before using force palm.

Solving The Celestial Maze

The first plate is the most visible one. So, make your way to the first plate and the first plate has the moon symbol, change it to sun.

The second one is right opposite to the first one and since it has sun on it, change it to the moon symbol. You’d have to do this for every plate. If you’ve already tried to do this puzzle and were unsuccessful then just check the map that is on the ground near the abyss cresset.

Then from the second plate, turn right and you’ll see the third plate at a slightly lower level. Change the symbol to sun.

There’s a narrow pathway between two rocks near the third plate as shown in the above image, go through the pathway and you’ll find the fourth plate to your left. Change the symbol to moon.

Then take a turn and you can see the fifth plate, change the symbol to sun.

For the sixth plate you have to get on top of the inner wall where you found the first plate. And you can see that there’s also an outer wall which has a plate, change it to sun and it’s good to go.

The seventh one is on the outer side of the inner wall, opposite to the sixth plate. Change the symbol to moon.

You can find the eighth plate on the outer wall as well. You can determine its location by looking for the tree highlighted in the first image and then make your way down to the eighth plate. Since the eighth plate has a sun symbol, change it to the moon.

Then turn left and go through the path shown in the image and take a look at your right and you’ll find the ninth plate and change it to the moon symbol.

The final plate is a sneaky one since it’s hidden underground. There is a hole on the ground that leads to the lower level from where the ninth plate is and do be careful of those yellow plants as they are hazardous.

Once you make your way down to the lower level, look for this narrow path between two rocks and go through it. Then take left shortly after you make your way through the narrow path and just follow the path, take no deviations and you’ll reach the final plate, change its symbol to the sun.

This marks the end of the Celestial Maze Challenge and you’ll unlock the Abyss Artifact. If you still weren’t able to solve the puzzle, don’t worry and just cross check the symbols from the guide with the ones that aren’t being lit on the map that is on the ground near the Abyss Cresset so that it will narrow down to the incorrect ones.
