Demons of Trosky KCD2 Walkthrough Guide

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the Demons of Trosky quest, Henry is asked to investigate reports of supernatural disturbances at Trosky Castle. In recovering from illness, Chamberlain Ulrich enlists Henry’s help in uncovering the truth behind eerie events such as souring milk, scratching walls, and the mysterious disappearance of coal. As Henry gathers evidence from witnesses, including cooks Bertha, Manyeta, and blacksmith Orsa, he begins to suspect a more mundane explanation. With options to sprinkle holy water, follow misleading clues, or confront Orsa’s prank, players must navigate a blend of humor and mystery to complete the quest and earn valuable rewards.

Demons of Trosky Walkthrough Guide

To start the quest, Henry needs to speak with Chamberlain Ulrich, who is still recovering from his stomach ulcer, assuming players helped him during For Whom the Bell Tolls. With a backlog of unfinished work, Ulrich assigns Henry to investigate strange demonic activity in the castle.

  • Reports suggest that demons have been causing trouble by souring milk, scratching walls, and eating coal, alarming the castle’s residents.
  • Ulrich gives Henry a choice between two “demon-banishing” potions, but the selection has no real impact on the quest.
  • Henry must gather information from three witnesses: the cooks Bertha, Manyeta, and the blacksmith Orsa.
  • Manyeta, near the kitchen, describes strange scratching sounds, foul odors, and frightened people in the cellar and pantry. She suggests pouring holy water or the potion around fireplaces in the Crone Side of Trosky Castle.
  • Orsa, found in the smithy, points Henry toward the castle walls, hinting at investigating how the demons might enter the castle.
  • Bertha, located above the Bathhouse, claims the demons have been shedding hair and leaving droppings all over the kitchen.
  • Henry suspects the cause might not be demons at all but a simple rat infestation.

Regardless, Bertha insists that he should sprinkle the demon-banishing potion around the Maiden’s side of the castle fireplaces, preferably at midnight, to avoid disturbing the castle’s residents. Once that’s done, players can move on to the Crone Side fireplaces and complete the ritual.

Orsa’s Task

Orsa confidently claims he knows where the demons are coming from and sends Henry on a series of tasks to track them down. The first location is near the castle battlements, left of the courtyard, close to the shooting targets. Upon investigating, Henry quickly realizes that the so-called “demonic hotspot” is nothing more than a latrine. After a brief monologue expressing his disbelief, he returns to Orsa for further directions.

Following Orsa’s next lead, Henry heads to another supposed demon nest, this time on the third floor of the Maiden’s side of the castle, ironically near the area leading to the fourth and fifth fireplaces. The investigation point, once again, turns out to be a latrine right in front of the stairs. Frustrated but determined, Henry returns to Orsa, demanding that he take the matter seriously. However, Orsa remains unfazed and sends him off to check one final location.

The last investigation site is on the Crone’s side of the castle, on the upper floor near the third fireplace. Unsurprisingly, it’s yet another latrine. By this point, Henry is beyond furious. Returning to Orsa will trigger a humorous exchange, where Henry can either laugh off the prank or let his fists do the talking, delivering a well-deserved beating for wasting his time.

Should You Fight Orsa or Let It Go?

The choice is entirely up to the players, as there are no major consequences beyond a small reputation shift and the option to brawl with Orsa. If Henry laughs it off, he might lose some reputation but will gain Ulrich’s respect, as Ulrich was aware that Orsa would try to prank the newcomer.

On the other hand, choosing to fight Orsa can be risky. Combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can escalate quickly, sometimes leading to unintended NPC deaths, which could cause bigger problems. Plus, many in-game decisions have hidden consequences that may not be immediately clear but could impact events later. So, players should think twice before throwing a punch.

Regardless of the choice, Henry can now return to Ulrich for his rewards. He will receive some Groschen, along with skill boosts in Scholarship, Vitality, and Survival. Completing the quest will also grant extra reputation, making it a worthwhile endeavor either way.
