The Child’s Play Puzzle

Child’s play puzzle begins in the village of Sukhothai. This puzzle has Indy following a trail of clues hidden inside glass bottles scattered around the village. Each note contains a compass direction and a hint pointing to the next bottle’s location.

  • First Bottle: To find the first bottle go to the Sukhothai village. Once you enter the Sukhothai village look for the fast travel sign. Head up the stairs and walk straight across the boardwalk. You will spot a staircase leading down into the water on your right.
  • Reach the bottom of the stairs. Here you will find a bottle floating in the water near Uncle Sunan fishing towards the west of Indy’s hut. Now pick up the first bottle. Then break the bottle by throwing it on the ground. Once broken, you will find a note inside.
  • The First Bottle Message reads: “Follow the banners to the northern shrine. There is a clue in the tree next to the hut.” After finding the first bottle, the child’s play puzzle begins.
  • Second Bottle: To find the second bottle, start from the first bottle’s location. Go up the stairs and turn left. Follow the path between the buildings to reach the open area behind the village. Walk past the rice farms until you spot a small, open hut. Inside, you will see two people talking about thieving monkeys.
  • To the right of the hut, look for a slanted tree. Check the branches – you will see an interact icon on a bottle. Now to retrieve the bottle, use your whip to grab the bottle from the tree. Once you have it, smash the bottle to find the note inside. The second bottle message says, “Walk east and find the tallest bridge. Another clue hides underneath.”
  • Third Bottle: To find the third bottle location, return towards the tallest bridge, and head back the way you came, leaving the rice fields. Look to your left and you will spot the tallest bridge up the stairs.
  • Now jump off the left side of the bridge and swim forward until you reach solid ground. Look for a boulder nearby with a glass bottle sitting on top of it. The third note says: “Walk south to the village gate. Find the boulder where the King sits on his throne.”

Once you have collected the third bottle, reach the south village gate. Swim under the bridge and turn left, heading directly toward the south village gate. Once you reach the gate, walk around it to the right, where you will spot a boulder ahead. Beneath this boulder, you will find a small box containing two items: an adventure book titled Jumbo Shove and the Phra Ruang Statuette. Pick up the statuette and complete the Child’s Play mystery.

Rewards

Though there is no treasure at the end of this mystery, the Adventure Book still offers some great benefits. For just 700 Adventure Points, you can learn to push heavyweight enemies with Jumbo Shove! Plus, it brings you closer to unlocking three exciting achievements.

Tips for Completing the Child’s Play Puzzle

  • Read Carefully: Every note includes exact compass directions that will direct you to the next clue. So, take good notice to not get confused as you go around Sukhothai.
  • There are specific landmarks that hide these clues: the northern shrine, the slanted trees, and the tallest bridge. Pay attention to those when searching for bottles.
  • Also, use the whip to collect bottles at higher reaches like that at the tree of the second location. Some clues will be available only if you obtain such items.
  • In search for the clue look out for yellow flags which is an indication of clues locations that guide you as you walk your way around the puzzle.
  • Each clue follows the other one in a rational sequence. Try to keep track and pay close attention to the clues in order not to miss important steps.
