In Blue Prince, you’ll find four blue braziers located outside the house on the Grounds. Lighting all of them unlocks a permanent path to the Basement, this path doesn’t reset. However, activating them requires quite a bit of effort.
This guide will walk you through how to light each of the four braziers and point out the specific rooms where you can find the gasline valves needed to do so.
How to Find and Light the Four Blue Braziers
To begin, exit the Entrance Hall and make your way outside to the Grounds. From there, head left past the Fountain and descend the stairs. At the bottom, you’ll come across all four blue braziers.
Lighting each brazier is straightforward—once you turn the corresponding gasline valve, gas will flow to the brazier and it will ignite automatically. The real challenge lies in locating the valves. You can find the gasline valves in these four areas (in no particular order):
- The Orchard
- The Gemstone Cavern
- The Hovel
- The Schoolhouse
Where to Find Each Gasline Valve
- The Orchard: After retrieving the code from the Darkroom and unlocking the Orchard gate, you’ll find the gasline valve immediately to your left as you enter.
- The Gemstone Cavern: Once you gain entry to the Gemstone Cavern through the Utility Closet, the valve will be just inside the entrance on the right-hand side.
- The Hovel & The Schoolhouse: The final two valves are located in special outdoor rooms that must be constructed. To access them, go through the Garage and open the West Gate to unlock the West Path. From there, use the Outer Room door to draft new rooms—keep in mind, you can only draft one Outer Room per day, so it may take multiple days to get both the Hovel and the Schoolhouse.
- In Mr. Revane’s Hovel, the valve is positioned to the right of the fireplace or stove.
- In the Schoolhouse, the valve can be found on the back side of the heater located in the center of the room.
Once all the braziers are lit, an elevator will appear on the platform where they’re located. This elevator grants access to the Basement—but it’s only useful if you’ve already obtained the Basement Key.
