Set in the untamed and mysterious Living Lands, Avowed offers a thrilling RPG experience filled with danger and discovery. While the base game is already
rich in content, mods can elevate it even further. Whether you want to enhance visuals, refine combat mechanics, or boost performance, the right mods can transform your adventure. In this guide, we’ll explore the best Avowed Nexus Mods to customise your journey.
The Best Nexus Mods in Avowed
Listed below are the best Nexus mods available in Avowed:
Better Attributes
The Better Attributes version enhances attribute-related bonuses as follows:
- Dexterity: Increases the growth rate of attack speed, casting, parkour, and consumable use by 20% (from 4%/7% to 5%/8.5%).
- Resolve: Doubles stamina gained per level (5 → 10) and boosts health restoration from Second Wind by 20%.
- Constitution: Increases base HP by 20% (100 → 120) and HP gained per level (5% → 6%). Additionally, boosts the growth rate of Poison and Bleeding resistance by 20% (6% → 7.2% per level).
- Perception: Enhances Critical Chance growth by 30% (3% → 4%) and max range growth by 20% (5% → 6%).
- Intellect: Doubles Essence gained per level (5 → 10) and accelerates elemental resistance growth by 20% (6% → 7.2%).
- Might: Increases base carry weight by 1.5× (120 → 180) and enhances damage bonus growth rate by 1.5× (3% → 4.5%).
Better Companions
In Avowed, companions offer minimal combat support, especially on higher difficulties, and are easily knocked out.
The Better Companion mod enhances them in two ways:
- Reasonably Better: Companions deal twice the base damage, have 50% more HP, and their ability cooldowns are 15-20% shorter, making them more active in combat.
- Significantly Stronger: Companions deal 10× base damage, have 5× the HP of vanilla values, and retain slightly shorter cooldowns to maintain game balance without breaking core mechanics.
Optimized Tweaks AVD – Reduced Stutter Lower Latency Better Frametimes Improved Performance
An effective solution to enhance performance and reduce stuttering while preserving visual quality. This mod optimises CPU and GPU efficiency, minimises latency, speeds up loading and boot times, and improves streaming and memory management.
Better Carry Weight and Encumbrance
This mod increases Carry Weight by either 2x or 100x. Points invested in Might will still provide a +10% boost. Instead of the default 120 + 12 per point, you’ll have either 240 + 24 per point or 12,000 + 1,200 per point.
Additionally, two encumbrance convenience options are available:
- Removes the movement penalty when walking or jogging while encumbered.
- Allows a slow sprint (1.2x jogging speed) while encumbered.
Note: You can combine any Carry Weight version with one of the encumbrance options.
More Ability Points
This mod grants twice more ability points per level. Customizable in game.ini file, feel free to change value TraitPointsPerLevel to what you want.
Easy Breathing
The Easy Breathing mod reduces air supply depletion by 5x and doubles air regeneration upon surfacing, making underwater exploration more convenient. Can be combined with a carry weight version and one encumbrance version.
More Lockpicks
Merchants, particularly in early locations, have a limited supply of lockpicks, requiring players to teleport back repeatedly after stock refreshes to acquire more.
This mod increases the available lockpicks by ten times, raising the quantity from 1–3 to 10–30 in Dawnshore and even more in later stages. It affects all 25 merchants who stock lockpicks.
More Ingredients
More Ingredients increases the amount of upgrade resources found in the world.
The multiplier for ingredients found in containers or on bodies will vary depending on the version, ranging from 2-4 or 3-9. This results in approximately ~x3 or ~x6 the usual resources.
Additionally, optional “More Pickables” versions are available for pickable items, including food, throwables, and key material sources like the Paradisan Ladder. These versions increase the yield from pickable items, raising it from 1-2 to a random range of 1-5 or 2-10.
Better Movement
This mod enhances movement speed slightly, making long journeys on foot, crouching, and combat feel smoother without being excessive.
- Default Version: Increases sprinting, walking, jogging, and crouching speed by 20%. Backpedaling speed is improved from -35% to -15% compared to forward movement.
- Faster Version: Same as the default, but sprinting is 50% faster than the base game.
Abilities Unlocked
Want a bear companion at level 2? Or the ability to power-jump onto xaurip heads from the start? This mod makes it possible!
All abilities without dependencies become available as soon as you earn your first ability point.
Two versions available:
- Abilities Unlocked – Grants access to all standalone abilities.
- Abilities + Upgrades Unlocked – Includes both abilities and their upgrades.
Shorter Death Screen
For some reason, the unskippable death screen lasts around 8 seconds. Whether it’s meant to punish the player or enhance immersion, it feels unnecessarily long. This mod shortens it to about 2 seconds for a quicker respawn.
Better Stamina Regen
Made on request. This mod increases normal stamina regeneration by x5 (or x10) times and stamina regen while exhausted (stamina fully depleted) by x2 (or x4) times.
Both are reasonably fair – you still need a moment of respite to regenerate, and you will still be punished for mindless swinging due to the exhaustion mechanic, but you won’t need to wait a full five seconds to regenerate stamina.
Merchants Restock Faster
Merchants restock their items for sale once in a 1-4 days. This mod makes delays shorts – either 1 day for every restockable item or a few seconds (you will need to leave trade UI).
Skip Intro – Fast Startup – Avowed
Skip Startup/Intro Movies in Avowed and Jump Straight into the Game! Now skips automatically—no button presses needed!
Planned Future Features:
- Bypass text warning screens
- Remove wait time for button press at the main menu
Cheaper Respec
Made on request. This mod makes attributes and abilities respec x5 times cheaper (including companions respecs, except early, when its already dirt cheap).
