If you’re looking to collect every weapon in Mortal Shell 2, this guide will show you where to find them all. There are several weapons to discover, and each one offers a different way to fight enemies and bosses. In case you miss some, you can return to the world after defeating the final boss to get them and unlock a unique achievement.
All Weapon Locations
Weapons in Mortal Shell 2 are your primary weapons of damage against enemies and bosses. There are several kinds of weapons in this game, and each weapon has its set of skills, providing players with diverse combat strategies. In case you want to collect the Lord of War trophy/achievement, then you should collect all the weapons of the game.
The good news is that none of the weapons are missable. Players can explore the whole world even after defeating the last boss and can get those weapons which they might have missed earlier. But keep in mind that you should do it before starting New Game+.
The Iconoclast
You will be able to get The Iconoclast during the early stages of the game when playing the Prologue. Once you meet the UnderMether in the game, you will have to equip yourself with the Harros the Vassal Shell. Once you equip Harros, you will be automatically awarded The Iconoclast by the game. Therefore, you do not have to go on any quest in order to obtain this weapon.
Axe & Dagger
The Axe & Dagger is found in the Shrine of Trials dungeon, which can be found in the Mushroom Village. To access the Shrine of Trials dungeon, you would need to go to the chapel area located near the Grisha Hunter NPC and also near the village beacon. Unfortunately, the chapel is locked at first, which means you need to look for the key to it.
You will need to look for the bonfire where you will be surrounded by Hag enemies in the Mushroom Village. On one side of the bonfire, there is an illusory wall with an archway, and you only need to walk through the archway and continue moving until you find the monument and interact with it to receive the Chapel Key.
With the Chapel Key in your hand, you can now unlock the chapel to find the entrance of the Shrine of Trials. Make your way through the dungeon and solve its simple puzzles to eventually collect the Axe & Dagger.
Veteran’s Battleaxe
If you want the Veteran’s Battle Axe to appear on your overworld map, you can purchase the map for the item from Merrick in Marrow Keep for 300 Coins. The location of the Veteran’s Battle Axe lies in The King’s Crypt, which is located in the Blackridge Cliffs section of Fainweald.
To reach this dungeon, you need to go first to the Blackridge Pass Beacon and from there move along the road adjacent to the Beacon all the way to the Shattered Beacon, where you will see Proxima.
From there, turn around and look behind you. You will see that the dungeon is visible in the distance from this location. Just fall down to the dungeon, and there won’t be much damage done to you since the fall isn’t that high. Go to The King’s Crypt and obtain the weapon from the dungeon.
Great Martyr’s Blade
If you want to know the exact location of the weapon on your map, you need to purchase the Great Martyr’s Blade map from Merrick in Marrow Keep. This map costs 500 Coins. The Great Martyr’s Blade is located inside the Martyr’s Prison, which is located inside a dungeon inside Gloomshade Grove.
In order to get to the dungeon, go to the Stonebled Gate Beacon, which is located inside the Sanguine Caverns. It is the Beacon situated right in front of the entrance to the Sanguine Caverns Gate. Then, you will cross the big bridge connecting the Sanguine Caverns and Gloomshade Grove.
Once you cross the bridge, turn right and head towards the cave. Follow the path ahead until you reach an area with a well and a dungeon entrance. This is where you’ll find Martyr’s Prison. But before entering the Citadel where the dungeon is located, you have to defeat the Bloodcursed Lithopod boss.
The boss is located near the Gloomshade Grove Beacon, and after defeating it, you will get the key to the Citadel located to the west. When you get the key, just enter the Citadel of Penance and reach Martyr’s Prison. Explore the dungeon to find and collect the Great Martyr’s Blade.
Obsidian Hammer
In case you need a map for the Obsidian Hammer, you can purchase it from Merrick in Marrow Keep. The price of the map is 1,300 Coins. The Obsidian Hammer is located in the Obsidianite Mines, which is a dungeon situated in the Abandoned Slums region of the Ruins of Mammon.
In order to find the dungeon, you should first visit the big round area at the centre of the Abandoned Slums region. Proceed to the bottom of that area, and there you will discover the entrance to the Obsidianite Mines. Enter the dungeon and explore it to find the Obsidian Hammer.
Black Needle
The Black Needle is obtained by defeating the Twin Sesters and Stray Sesters during their boss fight inside Sester’s Bastion. Sester’s Bastion is located in Sester’s Gate Beacon. Sester’s Gate Beacon is part of the main quest line, as you will have to purify the beacon to access Sester’s Gate and proceed to the Conquered Temple. Upon beating the bosses, the Black Needle will drop as one of the rewards.
Axatana
To find the location of Axatana, it is possible to purchase a map showing where it can be found from the overworld map. The map costs 1,100 Coins and is available for purchase by Merrick at Marrow Keep. The Axatana can be found in the Ruins of Mammon in a secret area of the Vestige of Infinity.
To start the quest to get the weapon, use the Castigator’s Keep Beacon, located in Castigator’s Keep. The weapon is located on the small island located to the east of the mentioned beacon.
After going northeast from the Silent Steps Beacon, you will come to a Bone Gate which will lead you to a tower located close to the eastern Corrupt Gate. Then go to the back of the tower and press the button to open the gate. After entering the secret area, you will see the weapon behind one of the enemies. Kill the enemy and get the weapon.
Clockwork Scythe
If you want to make finding the Clockwork Scythe easier, you can buy its map from Merrick at Marrow Keep. The map costs 3,000 Coins and will show you where the weapon can be found.
The Clockwork Scythe is obtained as a reward for defeating Sariel, the Endless. You’ll find Sariel inside the Chamber of Becoming, a dungeon in the Silent Steps area of the Ruins of Mammon. Since it is hard to pinpoint the exact location of the dungeon, it is recommended to start the search near the Silent Steps Beacon and from there explore the surroundings to locate the dungeon. Defeating Sariel, the Endless, will reward the player with the Clockwork Scythe.
