All Weapon and Armor Locations in Eternal Strands

In Eternal Strands, players can discover 39 unique weapons and armor pieces hidden throughout the game world. Collecting all of these items is essential for unlocking the “Expanding the Closet” achievement or trophy. This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough to help you locate each weapon and armor piece, ensuring you don’t miss any during your journey. Whether you’re aiming to complete your collection or enhance your character’s capabilities, this guide will assist you in navigating the intricate world of Eternal Strands to find all the hidden gear.

Glinton Hollow

The first area we’re going to explore is the Glinton Hollow, your primary goal here is to obtain the Opportunist’s gear set. This set provides Max Magic, a significant advantage in the early game.

Opportunist’s Cuirass

Start in Glintwood Hollow and locate the destructible door along the walkway. Use a fire spell to break it down and activate the nearby lift. Take the lift down to find the first piece of the Opportunist set.

Opportunist’s Highgreaves

Return to the top using the lift.  You’ll find the next piece directly in front of the Loomgate in Fell’s Arch (the only one in the area), with another piece just across from it.

Opportunist’s Bracers

Use the compass in the bottom right corner of the screen to head south. The player icon acts as the compass dial. Cross the small pond with the tree in the middle. Be aware that the environment can change based on the weather.

On the other side of the pond, you’ll find an ice-filled cave. Use another fire spell or a fire ability from the environment to enter it. The next piece of the Opportunist set awaits inside.

Opportunist’s Mask

From the ice cave, head north towards the middle pond. Then, go east and up the ramp. This area is where you’ll encounter a boss battle, which changes each time you visit. Near the top of the hill, you’ll find a small carriage. The mask is located right next to it.

Mundane Two Hander

At the end of the eastward path, you’ll find a door leading to Dredger’s Mire. Before entering, look for a cart off to the right. Here, you can find the Mundane Two-Hander, a powerful weapon that offers an alternative to the sword and shield, and the bow. Be aware that this two-handed weapon doesn’t allow blocking.

Important Notes:

  • Some gear pieces may require you to return later in the game once you have acquired specific spells or abilities.
  • If you cannot access certain areas, continue progressing through the main story.

Dredger’s Mire

The second area we’re going to explore is Dredger’s Mire to obtain key items and armor pieces for the Windscall gear set.

Point’s Headguard

Begin your search at Sapper’s Lake. The Windscall Fur, offering increased magic regeneration, can be found near the Loomgate. Head north from the gate, and near the cliff edge, you’ll discover a path (potentially frozen early on).  A little further in the story, the frost will clear. Alternatively, use a Frost Shroud vial, fire, or brute force your way through.  Following the cliff path leads to a cave containing the Point’s Headguard.

Windscall Furs

Exit the cave to continue the hunt for the Windscall Fur.

Windscall Strides

You’ll find the Windscall Strides here in the above location quite easily.

Windscall Braces

They are located east of your current position, towards the center of Dredger Mire, near the tower halfway up the stairs.  Go through the nearby door to find the Windscall Bracers in a small secret room.

Flame Bow

From the tower where you found the Strides, ascend to the top. The Flame Bow, a powerful weapon you’ll use for much of the game, is located on a table there.

Windscall Mane

Descend the tower and head south down the main steps. Be prepared for a boss fight here! The item you’re looking for is the Windscall Mane.

After defeating the boss, continue south, taking a slight left turn at the bottom of the steps. In the small lake area, you’ll find a boat dock.  Here, you’ll find the final component needed to craft the gear set, which will grant you a buff.

Upper Dynevron

We’re in Upper Dynevron and we’ll start searching from the Riverside Loom

gate, this is the largest area of the

game and also the one with the most number of collectibles.

Frost Sword and Shield

The Frost Sword and Shield can be quite useful in the early game. From the Riverside Loomgate, simply run directly east (check your compass if you have one enabled—you might need to activate it in the menu, and it may only appear with a selected objective). As you run, you should see a door to the left.  Note that this door might be blocked by ice if the weather isn’t clear. If the door is blocked by ice due to the weather, use fire to unblock it. Inside, you’ll find the Frost Sword and Shield.

Heartguard Armet

From there, we can find the Heartguard Armet. You need to head inside Upper Dynevron, towards the Atrium of Champions. You can check your map to see its location, but for now, we’re heading north. The Atrium of Champions isn’t far from where there are steps between those two areas. You’ll see a sort of floating island. Just try running and do a sprint or jump but be careful, you don’t want to end up on this floating island. Between the Atrium of Champions and the steps, you should be able to find a small, secret door. Burst it open to find the Heartguard Armet inside. The Heartguard gear set grants maximum armor.

Kinetic Two Hander

For the next item, we’re going to start from the Loomgate called the Spire. Upon spawning at the Spire, look left and climb the wall. This will lead toward the steps. Ascend the steps and enter the next room to find the Kinetic Two Hander.

Heartguard Cuisses

To find the Heartguard Cuisses in Eternal Strands, start at the Kinetic Two-Hander location and head south to the town square, where the boss is usually found. From there, go slightly southeast to Envoy’s Landing on the far right of the map.

Ascend the large steps from the market square until you reach a bridge. Cross through the loft, and on the left, you’ll find either a door or ice blocking the entrance. Inside, the Heartguard Cuisses await.

Heartguard Arkplate

For the final two pieces, it’s recommended to start from the Guild District Loomgate. Walk directly forward, slightly to the left. A shortcut using Kinetic Stream is possible here, but if it’s unavailable, simply proceed on foot.  Following the path leads to an area resembling a small, roofless coliseum with broken spires. The objective is to reach the area behind it, accessible either to the left or right. Go down that main wall and the steps. There’s a breakable wall there. After breaking it, enter the basement to find the Heartguard Arkplate near the wall.

Heartguard Gauntlets

Lastly, the Heartguard Gauntlets can be found here. They can be a bit tricky to grab. Kinetic Stream or Ensnaring Blast level three is recommended here. It’s advisable not to attempt this with a full inventory, as there’s a high chance of falling and dying. It can always be retrieved later. The goal is to reach the bottom left corner of the map, not too far from the Riverside Loomgate. The compass direction is southwest. Upon reaching the southwest corner of the map, floating islands will be visible.  Among these islands, a collectible floats in the sky between two of them. This is considered one of the more challenging collectibles to acquire. The approach requires reaching the farthest island. Use Ensnaring Blast to launch yourself over, or Kinetic Stream for an easier approach. There’s an enemy there. Defeat it and grab the Heartguard Gauntlets.

Lower Dynevron

In Lower Dynevron you’ll go there as part of the story, but a link can be found in Upper Dynevron not far from Envoy’s Landing. You’ll start with the first Loomgate which you’ll access upon entering the area. There are a couple of collectibles here, but this is a pretty small area overall.

We’ll go for the Trapper Crown first. The Trapper gear set allows for maximum weight reduction, which can be quite useful. However, it was found that maximizing stamina was preferred for stamina builds, and for situations requiring more armor, sets focused on health or armor were chosen. This set falls in an awkward middle ground.  It could be useful for those struggling with weight issues.

Trapper’s Crown

This one is good. You’ll end up going to the Town Square—it’s a smaller version of the first one you can get. Dropping off the side of the cliff leads to a secret dungeon (you’ll visit it during a side quest). Grab that Trapper’s Crown, and then we’ll go for the Flame Sword and Shield.

Flame Sword and Shield

Head eastward as you exit the cave. There’s a small wall climb here. After climbing it, continue in the same general direction (eastward from the Loomgate where we started). This leads to a large area where you can turn left or right. Turn left and follow the path, keeping an eye on the right-hand side for an opening. Within that opening, a number of collectibles and the Flame Sword and Shield can be found.

Trapper’s Wraps

After acquiring the Flame Sword and Shield, turn around and head up the stairs nearby, then climb the wall. A bit more vertical height is needed. After climbing that wall, hop over to the other side and take a slight left turn. The goal is to reach a walkway. There’s a metal grate on the floor; looking through it reveals enemies below. Drop down to that area. There, another staircase leads further down to a door you can break. Behind it you’ll find the Trapper’s Wraps. Be aware that there will be some enemies there, so make sure you’re not in combat when you grab them.

Trapper’s Shinguards

Next, let’s get the Shin Guards. Exit the area you were just in. There has been some carnage, but you need to head south. As you head directly south, you’ll quickly reach the edge of the map. There’s a floating island there. You can try running and jumping across, but for safety, it’s recommended to use Ensnaring Blast to launch yourself over. Upon landing on the island, you should find the Trapper’s Shinguards

Trapper’s Tunic

To get the last item, start from the Broker’s Arch Loomgate. From there, walk directly forward into what is likely the real Town Square. This is where most of the boss battles in Lower Dynevron will occur.  Run directly across from the spawn point using Ensnaring Blast to launch yourself a little forward. On a clear day, a frozen door will be visible. You can either use the environment to unfreeze it, or use Dragon’s Breath (or any other method) to unfreeze or break it open. Inside, you’ll find the Trapper’s Tunic.

The Bastion

Next, the area called The Bastion is accessed. It is accessible from Upper Dynevron via a door not far from the steps and the Spire. Upon entering, proceed forward. At the first gap in the walkway, drop directly below. Rocks will be blocking a cave entrance.

Pathbreaker Thighboots

The rocks blocking the cave can be attacked or moved using a grasp ability. Inside the cave, the Path Breaker Thighboots are located. The Path Breaker gear set provides a health bonus and can be used for a large portion of the game due to its early availability.  From the Loomgate in the Bastion, the remaining pieces of the set will be collected.

Pathbreaker Headband

From that Loomgate, turn right and climb the wall. This leads to some waterfalls. The Pathbreaker Headband can be found nearby, sitting not far from this campsite.

Frost Two Hander

Now let’s grab the Frost Two Hander. Go to the center of the area. There’s a large, market-like place where the main boss often appears. On a clear day, a frozen door will be visible. Use the environment or spells to unfreeze it. Head inside to find the Frost Two Hander.

Pathbreaker Wraps

From there, let’s find the Pathbreaker Wraps. Exit the small ice cave, go across the Town Square, and up the steps. At the top of the steps, go onto the short building directly in front of you. Up here, there are two collectibles. Grab the harder one first. Staying up on this roof, go through a door in front of you. Inside, there’s an elevator. Use fire to activate the elevator switch and ride it down into the pit area. The area is part of a side mission. Once down there, light the small switch at the end of the hall and be careful of enemies. With the gate now open, head inside. In the far right corner, the Pathbreaker Wraps can be found. With those collected, exit using the elevator lift.

Pathbreaker Half Mail

Reach the area called Garrison. Once at the top, exit through the door and turn right. Attack the ground to enter the area below. There are usually a couple of enemies found here, and the Pathbreaker Half Mail is located on a desk near the far corner.

Kinetic Bow

Lastly, the Kinetic Bow can be found. To get the Kinetic Bow, exit the Garrison area and head towards the Keep. The Keep is the large tower in the corner of the map. The goal is to reach the top. This requires either high stamina or the use of Ensnaring Blast or Kinetic Stream to get most of the way up. At the top, there will be a couple of enemies; be careful of them. Enter the tower and use the stairs to go down to the floor.  The floor may or may not be destroyed (either accidentally or by enemies). There, a clearly visible collectible (Kinetic Bow) sits against the wall. Be sure to grab it. If you wish, destroying the ground there leads to an underground area as well.

The Arkon’s Hearth

Now it’s time to go to Arkon’s Hearth. Start at the Linous Loomgate.

Fracture Handspurs

The first large room is called the Manifold and it contains the Fracture Handspurs. The Fracture gear set grants bonus cold resistance. It is also one of the coolest looking ones in the game. Launch yourself or climb the wall on the left side of the Manifold room. The Handspurs are on a ledge there. Make sure no enemies are attacking when you get the handspurs.

Fracture Longfauld

After that, the goal is the far northeast side of the map, past Resonant Fields. If you don’t have a compass, that’s fine. Simply aim for the top right corner of the map. Follow the path to the very end. This leads to the Resonant Fields.  At the end of the Resonant Fields, the area opens up a bit near the Incandescent Arch. On a ledge in the corner of the room, the Longfauld can be found. There will be some enemies and throwing them off the cliff is a quick way to deal with them, but not ideal for gathering resources to upgrade armor. Grab the chest piece there, then head towards the Incandescent Arch, which connects to the other part of Arkon’s Hearth.

Flame Two Hander

From the Incandescent Arch, drop down into the next area. This leads to the Arcane Foundry. Inside, take a right turn upon dropping down. There will be many enemies here, including Spitfire—fire-breathing mosquito-like creatures. Here, the Flame Two Hander, a fitting weapon for this area, can be found.  This is on a newer save, so there is a little bit of fog of war on the map.

Fracture Greaves

Exit out the opposite side from which you came. Doing so leads to the main path. Heading south on that main path allows you to climb up on the right side using some scaffolding. This leads to an ice cave. Use fire or some other means to get through. Inside this ice cave, at the top of the steps, the Fracture Greaves is located. This cave has two entrances, so exit through the other one. This requires breaking down a door which leads to an area called the March.

Fracture Greathelm

In March, on the opposite side can be found the Emergence Gate, a large open area where the boss often roams. There are four pillars in this area, upon entering, go to the closest pillar on the right. There are usually enemies here, and a dragon often fights there too. Here, the Fracture Greathelm, which allows you to complete Arkon’s Hearth, can be found.

The Institute

The Institute is one of the last areas visited in the game.  Fortunately, the collectibles here are relatively easy to find.

Frost Bow

Starting at the main Loomgate, the Frost Bow can be obtained there. It is located directly in front of you inside this container. You may need to use an attack or fire to break it open.

Nameless Host Wristguards

The Institute is called the Nameless Host and it grants maximum stamina. From the Frost Bow location, cross the gap directly south. After crossing, go up the steps on the left to find the Wristguards. These pieces are all closely located and can be found pretty quickly.

Nameless Host Gambeson

From there, drop down and battle through the door connecting the two rooms to the west. Take a left through the next door. The goal is to cross the broken bridge. If the jump is difficult or proving troublesome, use the cliff side. On the other side of the broken bridge, not far from the circular platform, the Gambeson can be found.

Nameless Host Jackboots

The map will show the location as Romanos Canal. There is a Romanos Canal Loomgate nearby. Heading up this path and looking right through the door reveals the Romanos Canal Loomgate. Be sure to activate it if coming from the Loomgate. Walking directly forward leads inside a tunnel. In the middle of the tunnel’s cross-section, the Jackboots can be found.

Nameless Host Mask

The final two items can be obtained from the Eastern Circuit of the Musing Loomgate, near the top right corner of the map. For the most part, the route will be westward. The first area encountered is the Darkwater Cistern. Upon entering, keep an eye on the right-hand side. As the area opens up, there’s a small cliff that can be ascended. At the very top, a chest and the Nameless Host Mask can be found.

Kinetic Sword and Shield

Lastly, the Kinetic Sword and Shield can be obtained by continuing towards west, further down the Darkwater cistern. This leads to Expansion Cavern 36. This cavern is part of the main mission, requiring you to eliminate portal spawners. Once inside the cavern, climb to the very top. Ascend the cliff to reach a secret cave room where you’ll also find one of those spawners. Once it’s taken care of, look to the left and you’ll find the Kinetic Sword and Shield there.
