Thermal Goggles are an essential tool in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, giving players the ability to spot enemies through heat signatures and track their movements. They can also reveal certain environmental clues like footprints. There are three locations to find these goggles, one in the Virtuous Mission prologue and two later in the main story. Even if collected early, they must be picked up again in the main campaign. To use them, equip the goggles from the Backpack under the Items tab; only eight items can be carried at once.
All Thermal Goggles Locations
There are a total of three locations where you’ll be able to find the Thermal Goggles:
Location 1 – Virtuous Mission
In Dremuchij North during the prologue, head to the northeast corner near the northern exit. Crawl through a hollow log in the tall grass to reach a black case containing the Thermal Goggles.
Location 2 – Main Story
In Rassvet, after meeting The Boss, enter the ruined factory’s northeast red door. Inside the room where Sokolov was, check the left locker to grab the Thermal Goggles from the black case.
Location 3 – Main Story
If you missed the Thermal Goggles in Rassvet then only you’d be able to get the Goggles in Ponizovje Warehouse by going down the stairs, taking a left and finding the Goggles near a huge brick colored gate.
