Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is packed with cool hidden spots and secret areas you can unlock by completing certain challenges or finding hidden paths. Some of these areas are present behind locked doors, broken fences, or tricky jumps, but once you know what to do, they’re fun to explore and can help you complete goals or find collectables. In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock every secret area across all the maps in THPS 3 + 4, with simple step-by-step tips so you won’t miss a thing.

    Foundry secret area

You’ll only be able to get this secret area after you unjam all five valves. Once that’s done, it unlocks the generator core right behind you at the start of the level. All five valves are located around the outer edges of the map, and you can unjam them by grinding the rail in front of each one. Here’s where to find them:

    • Valve #1: From the start, head down the left ramp, and you’ll see the first valve right there.
    • Valve #2: Keep going past the flaming tanks and look on the left side to find the second valve.
    • Valve #3: Continue along the path, then go down the next ramp to spot the third valve.
    • Valve #4: After that, head up the ramp directly in front of you, and you’ll see valve #4 on the left side.
    • Valve #5: For the last one, skate past the half-pipe, and you’ll find valve #5 again on the left side.

Just grind each of the rails in front of them, and you’re good to go.

    Canada secret area

Start by turning around and spinning to build a bit of momentum, then head up the ramp and land on the platform above. Keep moving in that direction until you reach the wooden boardwalk near the quarter-pipe next to the Half-Pipe.

Skate up the quarter-pipe and land on the raised section that’s part of the Half-Pipe. From there, use the angled ramp to launch yourself onto the slanted Half-Pipe nearby. Now pick up some speed, make a good jump, and grind the nearest rail. Stay on it until the very end, your tape is waiting for you there.

    Rio secret area

Rio’s “secret” area, but is actually easy to reach. Just break through the fence, then use the bowl nearby to launch yourself up and grab the hidden deck.

    Suburbia secret areas

The Haunted House unlocks after you complete the “Help the Thin Man” goal. But there’s also a fun shortcut if you jump through the front door, you’ll trigger a spooky cutscene where your skater falls into the void. It’s the first time something like this happens in the series!

    Airport secret area

From the starting line of the airport, move inside the airport baggage checking area. On the right side, move forward and get the helicopter inside the secret area.

    Skater island secret area

Move outside and head towards the pirate ship. Reach the front of the pirate ship and jump into the water to get your Bikini Bottom Secret location.

    Los Angeles secret area

For this one, you just need to grind on 4 handrails that are placed around the tower near the starting point of the level. Once you have hit all four, a cutscene will play showing an earthquake hitting Los Angeles.

In the Los Angeles level, as soon as you start, look straight ahead, and you will see a building with the eastern earthquake rail. To get inside, grind the wire to your right at the starting point. Ride it up and drop into the building from above. The Iron Galaxy logo is sitting right between the two statues inside.

But before doing it, you have to first complete the “They are Great Gap” challenge to open the glass door in the building. To complete the Great Gap challenge, you need to perform stunts in the building by breaking the glass of the building and performing boneless.  You also have to grind through the railings to complete it.

    Tokyo secret area

You can unlock an extra skatepark by grinding along the wires that hold up the big round sign on the wall. Just hop on, ride the wires, and the new area will open up.

    Cruise ship secret area

The Safe Nets on the Nose area unlocks when you grind the wires holding up the giant gold coin inside the museum. Just jump on the wires, grind across, and you’ll trigger the secret.

    Alcatraz secret area

For this, you’ll have to collect five cell keys scattered across the level. First one can be found near a trash bin in starting area, for the second, third, fourth and fifth one you’ll have to skate through the Courtyard and you’ll find them in trash bins. Finally, go to the Main Prison and release the prisoner.

    Waterpark secret area

To turn the power back on in the Arcade, first grab the keys located just to the right of where you start.

Then head over and unlock the Arcade doors using the keys. Now you need to grind through the railings inside the arcade to restore power to the Arcade and enter the secret area.

    Zoo secret area

You will find the zoo’s secret area by going towards the right side and smashing through the wooden barriers to enter it. You can also climb up the secret area by jumping towards the edge of the building.
