There are a number of hidden rooms that have been placed throughout the map in Control Resonant, each of which contains a puzzle leading to a secret bunker. Finding all six of these hidden rooms will net you valuable items and information, and opening all six rooms is necessary to unlock the trophy/achievement Backroom Espionage.
The solutions for some of the puzzles can be difficult to determine without help, which is why this walkthrough guides you through the location and solution of all the secret rooms.
All Secret Base Locations and Puzzle Solutions in Control Resonant
Six secret locations have been placed around the world in Control Resonant. You will be required to solve a simple puzzle at each of them, which will help you access the bunker and gather the loot and information from there.
To unlock the Backroom Espionage trophy/achievement, you will be required to find all the six secret locations. However, the puzzles might not always be obvious, so you may take help from the notes placed at those locations.
Atlantis Cafe
The first hidden location is situated at the Atlantis Cafe in the Downtown part of the city. Upon entering the room, find the note which says that the appliances have to be turned on in a certain order. The steps are:
- Radio on the wall
- Coffee machine on the red counter
- Larger coffee machine
- Soda machine
- Microwave
- Fridge
Once you activate everything in the correct order, the wall will move and reveal the secret bunker. You can then enter it and collect the chest and intel inside.
Laundromat
The next secret base is situated in the laundromat in the Central region. There is a paper attached to the wall which has some numbers written on it corresponding to the washers in the room.
The numbers written on the top of the paper refer to the washers on the left side, and the numbers written at the bottom of the paper refer to the washers on the right side. You have to locate all the washers marked with the number one on the paper and operate them.
Art Gallery
The third secret base will be located in an art gallery within the Evacuation Zone. There is a notice on the counter stating which paintings should have their lights shone upon them. One can change the paintings via the panels within the gallery. The paintings on the panels from left to right should be the following:
- First set: The painting with the road in the middle
- Second set: The painting with the looped branches on the left
- Third set: The painting with the open field and tree in the middle
- Fourth set: The painting with the water
Once the lights are focused on the correct paintings, the secret room will open.
Urban Fresh Market
The fourth secret base can be found at the Urban Fresh Market located in the West Incursion Zone. This time around, the note says that the soda machine works backwards. You have to interact with the soda machine located in the corner of the room.
The sodas will light up in the sequence 3121. The note has told you to remember the fact that the machine works backwards, so you will have to input the sequence backwards, which is 1213. Go to the cash register and input 1213.
Atlantis Cafe Coffee
The next hidden location can be found in the cafe called Atlantis Cafe Coffee in the Park. Here, you need to take into consideration the note with the numbers and the menu, the orders made by the customers.
Here, you should cross-reference the numbers with the drinks ordered by the people in order to find the code. In case you do not want to spend some time on solving the puzzle, the code is BDA. You will have to enter the code BDA in order to gain access to the secret bunker.
Pulse Fitness
The last secret base can be found at Pulse Fitness in the Unknown. Enter the locker room and use the poster for directions on how to complete a series of exercises in a particular sequence. Do as follows:
- Go to the treadmill and set it to slow mode (0.5 MPH).
- Go to the exercise bike and set it to fast mode (15 MPH).
- Use the vending machine and get a drink.
- Return to the treadmill and set it to fast mode (15 MPH).
- Go back to the exercise bike and set it to slow mode (0.5 MPH).
Once the sequence is done, the hidden bunker will be open for use. After opening all six of the secret bases, you will get the trophy called “Backroom Espionage.”
