All Genma Note Locations In Onimusha: Way Of The Sword
There are a total of 23 Genma Notes available for collection in Onimusha: Way of the Sword. After collecting all the Genma Notes, you will receive the Genma-ologist trophy/achievement. These notes are stored in chests which are invisible to the naked eye in each of the game areas. When you get closer to the chest, you will see your gauntlet glow to indicate that there is something near. You can use Oni Vision to see a spectral orb and interact with it to make the chest visible.
Hitotsume Gasa
You can find this Genma Note inside a chest west of the Higashioji Street Spirit Mirror. Use Oni Power to reveal the chest and open it to collect the note.
Kubi Akari
Head south of the Kamo River to the East Spirit Mirror. Use Oni Power to reveal a hidden chest, then open it to get the Genma Note.
Togemaru
Go to the courtyard west of Yorimasa’s Monument in Kyoto. Use Oni Power to reveal the hidden chest and collect the note inside.
Kogai
Make your way to the house north of Gojo Street – West Spirit Mirror. Use Oni Power inside the house to reveal the chest containing the Genma Note.
Kogashira
This note is found in the Underground Laboratory, on Underground Level 3, near the Grand Theatre Spirit Mirror. Use Oni Power to reveal the chest and collect the note.
Oboro Garasu
Head to Mount Oe in the Valley. Instead of crossing the bridge, go down below and use the wall run to reach the platform. Use Oni Power to reveal the chest containing the Genma Note.
Mohja
Go to the temple area of Arashiyama, south of the Mountain Trail. Pass through the gate that you open with explosives, then use Oni Power to reveal the hidden chest.
Chijiko
Head to the Underground Laboratory – Underground Level 2. Look for the hidden chest and use Oni Power to reveal it. Open the chest to collect the Genma Note.
Hirehime
Return to Mount Oe in the Valley and look for the lower area near the water. Use Oni Power to reveal the chest and collect the note inside.
Hitotsume Sho
Go to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and head to the dojo in the northernmost part of the area. Use Oni Power to reveal the chest containing the Genma Note.
Byakue
You can find this note on a rooftop just north of the Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Spirit Mirror. Use Oni Power to reveal the hidden chest and collect the note.
Dohatsu-ten
Head east of the Gojo Street – East Spirit Mirror, where you first fought Dohatsu-ten. Use Oni Power in the opening where the fight took place to reveal the chest.
Nue
Return to the arena where you fought the first Nue, north of the Nue Pond Spirit Mirror. The Genma Note can be found there.
Daidara
Go to the courtyard just north of the Shrine Grounds Spirit Mirror in the Oni Refuge. Use Oni Power to reveal the hidden chest and collect the note.
Shuten Doji
Head to the building east of the Mountain Trail Spirit Mirror in Mount Oe, where you fought Shuten Doji. Outside the building, use Oni Power to reveal a chest containing the Genma Note.
Rasho Gan
Return to the courtyard next to the Higashioji Street Spirit Mirror, where you fought Rasho-gan. Use Oni Power to reveal the chest and collect the note.
Sasaki Ganryu
Go to the Oni Refuge in Kiyomizu-dera Temple and return to the room where you fought Sasaki Ganryu. Use Oni Power to reveal the chest containing the Genma Note.
Benkei
Return to the bridge in Kyoto where you fought Benkei for the first time. Use Oni Power on the bridge to reveal the hidden chest and collect the note.
Greater Nue
Head to the arena where you first fought Greater Nue, just north of the Oikeniwa Pond Garden Spirit Mirror. Use Oni Power to reveal the chest containing the Genma Note.
Dokyo
Go past Hozukyo Gorge in Arashiyama and return to the area where you first fought Dokyo. Use Oni Power to reveal the hidden chest and collect the note.
Ifuu
Return to the area in Kyoto where you first fought Ifuu. Use Oni Power in the opening where the battle took place to reveal the chest containing the Genma Note.
Burai
Head back to the area in Kyoto where you first fought Burai. Use Oni Power in the opening where the fight took place to reveal the hidden chest and collect the note.
Yoshitsune
After defeating Minamoto no Yoshitsune, reload your save and return to the well behind Rokudo-chinnoji Temple. Use Oni Vision to find the spot where you can use Oni Power. This will reveal a chest containing the final Genma Note.
