If you want to unlock the secret ending in Reanimal, you need to find the five coffins in the game in a single playthrough. If you miss even one secret coffin, then the secret ending will not start. These hidden coffins are hidden across different chapters, and you need to find and open all of them. In this guide, we will tell you all the coffin locations and the way to unlock the secret ending in Reanimal.
All Coffin Locations
There is a secret ending that you can unlock, but you need to find all five hidden coffins in the same playthrough. If you manage to open all five coffins, you will get a secret ending at the end of the game. As a reward, you will unlock the Friends Reunited trophy/achievement. Below is the location of all the coffins.
Coffin 1 – Chapter 1
After you push the trolley down the train tracks and reach the end to jump off, walk back out of the tunnel and follow the second set of train tracks heading southeast. You will see a detailed and abandoned train. Go inside the train and exit from the right-hand side at the end. In front of you, on the broken tracks, is the first coffin.
Coffin 2 – Chapter 3
When you are in the flooded area with the boat and going towards the hotel, turn right and go to the end of the flooded street. You will find floating mines blocking your path. Destroy them with your harpoons. After clearing the mines, go forward to find a prison building. Park your boat and go inside the prison. Go down the stairs and near the entrance area, you will find the second coffin.
Coffin 3 – Chapter 3
In the open water, look for the canon island. When you see it, drive around it along the cliffs till you reach a closed section. Turn right and enter the hidden cave. A monster will be there to attack you. After defeating the monsters, keep driving till you reach a beach. Near the beach, you will find the third coffin.
Coffin 4 – Chapter 4
In the orphanage section, you will reach a room where you defeat the spider kids, and your friend is hanging on a rope. Go to the bottom left corner of the and there will be a door on the left side. Go through the door, and you will find the fourth coffin.
Coffin 5 – Chapter 7
After the trenches section, you will reach the hospital while running from the exploding soldiers. After running from them, go back the way you came. On your left, you will see a broken wall. Go through that opening, and inside you will find a bunker door. Turn the handle to the left and climb down the ladder. At the bottom, you will find the final coffin.
Secret Ending
To get the secret ending, continue playing the story and finish all nine chapters. Once you reach the ending, don’t quit the game. After the ending, you will get a secret cutscene. In this hidden ending, you will see the five ghosts from the coffins appear and embrace the girl.
