All 5 Ancient Memory Locations – Avowed

In Avowed, you play as a Godlike, granting you unique abilities that set you apart from others. This has several gameplay implications, including access to Ancient Memories scattered throughout the world. These memories not only reveal important backstory details but also unlock powerful passive abilities. There are a total of five Ancient Memories, with one located in each major region of the game. The list below follows the order in which you’ll naturally visit these locations, making it easy to collect them as you progress through the story.

The Ancient Memory in Dawnshore is the easiest to unlock. Simply head to Watcher’s Mirror in the eastern part of the map. You’ll find the memory on the edge of the platform across the shallow pond. This memory, the Remembrance of Kishamal, increases your Maximum Health by 10%.

If you thought the last fight was tough, this one takes it to another level. Head to the Twin Reaches Overlook in Shatterscarp, where you’ll have to battle dozens of xaurips before climbing the rocks to reach the Ancient Memory. This area involves a lot of platforming, so be ready to jump between columns. There’s a wooden trail to follow, but the jumps can be tricky—especially while under attack.

This is also the location of the Chief Xaurip Grithin Bounty, so expect fierce resistance on your way up. Once you’ve defeated him and his minions, cross the flat peak to a xaurip monument. You’ll find the memory at the far edge of the cliff. This Ancient Memory, the Remembrance of Nimanna, increases your Maximum Stamina by 10%.

Finding The Ancient Memory In Emerald Stair

To reach the Ancient in Memory at Emerald Stair, you’ll first need to battle the Steel Garotte. Make your way to their Ranger Tower, located just south of the Wildwoods, and find the ladder at the back. Climb up and continue ascending using additional ladders and strategically placed boxes until you reach the top.

Along the way, you’ll encounter a few soldiers, but the fight won’t be too intense. You’ll also come across plenty of weapons and potions to aid you. Once at the summit, look out over the Emerald Stair and interact with the memory to unlock Remembrance of Enhekala, which increases your Maximum Essence by 10%.

Finding The Ancient Memory In The Garden

In the Garden, during the Pulling Back the Veil quest, after encountering Giatta’s parents, you will arrive at the Broken Aqueduct. Instead of following the quest marker, head south to a closed gate. Open it to find the Ancient Memory of the Garden.

Since you’re approaching the game’s finale, you won’t have much time to fully enjoy this reward. However, with challenging battles ahead, it proves invaluable. This memory unlocks the Remembrance of Sapadal, which grants Health regeneration when your HP drops below 50%.

Finding The Ancient Memory In Galawain’s Tusks

At the southernmost part of the Slumbering Fields, you’ll come across the Restless Cavern. Instead of entering, follow the raised path in an arc to reach a platform overlooking the aqueduct. Here, you’ll find the Ancient Memory in Galawain’s Tusks. While this location doesn’t require combat like the previous two, reaching it can still be challenging.

This is because the lake in Slumbering Fields is initially highly acidic. Upon entering, you’ll receive the quest Boundaries of Antiquity. Completing its first stage will purify the lake, turning it into clean, harmless water. As a reward, you’ll receive the Remembrance of Maru, which grants a ten percent boost to Attack Damage.
