The Blood of Dawnwalker has many of the most important side activities, and finishing them is one of the most effective methods to counter Xanthe before starting your main quest. Side activities are located all around different areas and consist of battling Blood Guards, blocking transports, discovering ancient sites, and uncovering secrets.
During your journey, you will have the opportunity to collect legendary rewards, discover new quests, and activity locations on the map. This guide covers all 14 Xanthe Court Activities and explains how to complete each one.
All 14 Xanthe Court Activities
Xanthe controls the southeastern portion of Vale Sangora, and undertaking the court activities of Xanthe is the most effective way to decrease her power before finally taking her on. She conducts her activities in Tantari Woods, The Silts, and the southern section of St. Tyna’s Grove. These activities comprise recruiting, preventing transports, excavation, and eliminating the Blood Guard camps.
Xanthe is a bit easier to anger, as her meter fills up after completing around 7 – 10 of the following quests. Keep a lookout for Leonard coming your way after filling the quota, and you can access Howling Manor and the Cycle of Love quest right after. To reveal all quests quickly, Scouting towers can help you with that.
Note: It takes 3 time segments per Xanthe court task, plus you need to be level 25+ to take on most of the tasks. It is recommended to just do the bare minimum to trigger the fall of Xanthe, then return afterwards to complete the rest of the quests.
Xanthe’s Recruiters Taste of Power
Go into the backyard in Svartrau City and talk to the Blood Guard. Kill all the enemies around there and then go near the golden box that was guarded by the Blood Guard. It gives you an option to collect the blood of Vrakhiri, which gives you the rare Phial of Brencis’s Blood. There is a chest next to this place which contains a document; taking this document will give you an Xanthe event on the map.
Xanthe’s Recruiters Just a Bit More
Go and talk to Blood Guard, then kill all the enemies present in the area. After completing the battle, use the golden chest. If you wish to take the blood, you have to kill Blood Addict as well. This will give you the legendary item called Phial of Ambrus’s Blood.
Xanthe’s Recruiters Come Home
Speak to the Blood Guard and get rid of all the enemies. Then use the golden chest. If you decide to take the Vrakhiri blood, you will get the famous Phial of Bakir’s Blood.
Xanthe’s Excavations Unsealed Secrets
First, take care of the enemies surrounding the dig site. Then, use focus mode (by pressing L2 or LT), which will reveal the yellow glowing symbols to you. One such symbol is found near the tents that are outside, and the other is inside the ruins.
Xanthe’s Excavations Malevolent Presence
Make your way through the ruins and defeat the enemies you encounter. At the end, you’ll face a ghost boss. After defeating it, check the table in the middle of the room to find the text note.
Xanthe’s Excavations Bloodied Dagger
Survive the battle through the ruins and kill the boss at the end of the level. You’ll find a locked chest in the boss room with a set of boots inside. To access the chest, you need to enter Focus Mode (L2/LT) and search for the Ritual Dagger located to the left of the boss room. Collect it and use the dagger on Armaya’s corpse to complete the quest.
Xanthe’s Transports Fair Maiden
You’ll need to stop a group of enemies travelling along the road. They move around the area, so follow the road until you find them. Defeat all of them to complete the activity.
Xanthe’s Transports Chosen One
The enemies are travelling along the road, so follow the road until you run into them. Defeat the entire group to complete the activity.
Xanthe’s Transports Past Glory
Find the group of enemies patrolling the road and defeat them all. Once the fight is over, loot their bodies to complete the activity.
Xanthe’s Transports When Two Dogs
Look for the enemies patrolling the road and take them down. After defeating the group, loot their bodies to finish the activity.
Xanthe’s Blood Guards Unquenchable Thirst
Go to the camp of the Blood Guards and kill all of the enemies that you find there. While searching through the camp, you will also find a prisoner who is bound to a tree and can be freed. You will also find a Sword Shard in one of the tents.
Xanthe’s Blood Guards Teach with Pain
Enter the Blood Guard camp and defeat every enemy in the area. Once they’re all defeated, the activity will be complete.
Xanthe’s Blood Guards Loophole
Make your way to the Blood Guard camp and defeat all the enemies. Clearing the camp completes the activity.
Gargoyle Manufacture & Home Sweet Home
As part of the Gargoyle Manufacture quest, you should defeat Svetlana to get the Vault Key quest item. This should be used to unlock Aurelius Tower in the Home Sweet Home quest. To start the mission Home Sweet Home, you need to find your way to the uppermost floor of Aurelius Tower. After you approach the entrance door of the upper floor, there will be an option available to examine it.
Examine the door, and suddenly you will find yourself in an unfamiliar dream-like environment of Laslea. This environment is reminiscent of the beginning of the game’s prologue. Follow through with the quest and defeat enemies while scaling the tower. Eventually, you will be back home, and you will get the task to rescue your family.
Keep going through the questline and defeating enemies until you beat the Keeper of Nightmares. But the quest isn’t over yet, as you need to defeat more enemies until you have to investigate the Well for the sounds. Speak to your reflection, then continue the quest.
As you keep pushing forward in your memory, you will finally meet Alin, who will help you get to the real world. Once you gain consciousness, watch the rest of the cutscene unfold and raid the Astrologer’s body to get the Astrologer’s Ring.
