The Secret Garden Key is one of the items you can find in Blue Prince. It opens the way to a hidden room, but finding the key and knowing how to use it isn’t always easy. Since its location changes with every run, it can take a bit of luck and exploration to get your hands on it. Here’s a quick guide to help you track down the Secret Garden Key and unlock the mysterious room it opens.
How to Find the Secret Garden Key
In Blue Prince, the Secret Garden Key is randomly placed and isn’t guaranteed to show up in every run. That said, we’ve come across it a few times in these spots:
- Billiards Room: It can drop as a reward from the Billiards/Darts puzzle.
- Music Room: While not tied to the puzzle in this room, the key can still randomly show up as a reward.
- Locksmith: If you buy the “Special Key” option, there’s a chance you’ll get the Secret Garden Key.
- Containers and dirt piles: Though it’s pretty rare, you might find it in trunks, chests, or when digging up dirt piles with your Shovel.
How to Use the Secret Garden Key
To use the Secret Garden Key, head to either the far east or far west side of the mansion. Start exploring in that direction, drafting rooms as you go. (We went west and kept drafting north whenever possible.)
Eventually, you’ll come across a locked door. When you do, the game will prompt you to choose between using a regular key or a special key. Select “Special Keys,” then choose the Secret Garden Key. The game will then automatically unlock and place the Secret Garden room for you.
