In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Tennouji Temple is one of the earliest and most significant areas Naoe can visit within the Izumi Settsu region of Osaka. This is not one of the deserted temples, however, and is actually home to a violent band of outlaws. That means it is not safe to travel in. If you want to collect the Lost Pages hidden here, you’ll need to use stealth and strategy to avoid, or take down, these enemies. This temple is also a great place to practice using the Observation and Eagle Vision mechanics, helping you locate important items while staying out of sight.
Tennouji Temple Location
Tennouji Temple sits in the Izumi Settsu region of Osaka, the first major area Naoe can explore. You’ll likely come across it early on, as it’s easy to find while exploring. Unlike many other temples in AC Shadows, Tennouji isn’t an abandoned ruin, it’s occupied by a large group of outlaws. If you want to collect the Lost Pages, you’ll need to either take them down or find a way to sneak past them. Tennouji Temple is a great place to get comfortable with the Observation and Eagle Vision mechanics. There’s no need to charge in and fight head-on, take your time and carefully navigate through the structures and courtyard.
All Lost Pages at Tennouji Temple
There are three Lost Pages in Tennouji Temple, and these will appear as little white dots while using the Observation mechanic. The temple’s layout, along with the number of enemies, can make them hard to find, though. There’s also a Codex Node that looks identical to a Lost Page using Observation at the southern end of the courtyard. Although it’s worth collecting, you’ll need to contend with enemies to reach it. Be sure to identify it correctly before making your move, so you don’t mistake it for a Lost Page.
1st Lost Page

In order to locate the first Lost Page, you need to travel to the southeast corner of the courtyarddown. There you will find a hole in the roof of the building. Drop down the hole. The page is situated in the corner of the room you fall into. If you don’t want to fight, walk south along the eastern wall from the first Lost Page and use the ramp up to the bamboo scaffolding to get above. This path directly brings you into the building where getting the first Lost Page with little trouble is convenient.
2nd Lost Page

The second Lost Page requires a bit more work to discover, as it is buried among loot and even enemies. It is located in the northwest courtyard corner, past a couple of enemies, in a hollowed-out tree stump against the wall. Be careful, as there is an enemy sitting directly in front of it. Jump up into the tree to get the page.
3rd Lost Page

To find the third Lost Page walk just outside the main temple wall. Reach the northeast side, near the corner. Now walk north along the outside of the eastern wall, and you will spot it resting in a bowl at the base of a Jizo statue. Once you’ve collected all three Lost Pages, you’ll earn a Knowledge Point and move one step closer to the next Knowledge Tier.
