Throne and Liberty Halls of Tragedy Dungeon Guide – How to Beat Limuny Bercant

The Halls of Tragedy in Throne and Liberty’s Dimensional Circle is a challenging task, requiring strategic coordination and control of complex mechanics. This guide is intended to provide players with the information necessary to overcome this high-level dungeon, from its dangerous rooms and overcoming its powerful guardians to finally defeating the powerful Limuny Bercant. By learning the boss encounters, executing key mechanics, and optimizing group composition, adventurers can overcome the Halls of Tragedy and reap its rewards.

Throne and Liberty Halls of Tragedy Dungeon

The Halls of Tragedy is a top-tier dungeon in Throne & Liberty’s Dimensional Circle, rated at +++ difficulty, the highest level currently available. To enter, players need to be at least level 55.

First Room

In the first room of the Halls of Tragedy, use the mirror on the left to move forward into the dungeon. Once inside, you’ll encounter groups of Elite Scouts, Archers, and Guards stationed at each door. The fights are straightforward, the tank can pull the mobs together while the group focuses on taking them down. However, you don’t have to clear all the enemies to open the doors. Only the Elite Guards need to be defeated to unlock the way forward, so you can skip the other mobs if you prefer.

Tree Knight

The Tree Knight is the first boss you’ll face in the Halls of Tragedy, and it comes with a few key mechanics to watch out for:

  • Rage Strikes: Like most bosses in Throne & Liberty, the Tree Knight unleashes powerful attacks fueled by rage. These need to be dodged or blocked with precise timing.
  • Vine Grip: The boss will try to pull ranged players into the center of the room, stunning and damaging them. The tank can interrupt this by stunning the boss before the attack goes off.
  • Sweeping Slash: The Tree Knight performs a wide, cone-shaped attack aimed at the tank, reaching all the way to the edge of the arena. DPS and Healers should always position themselves behind the boss to avoid getting hit.

Second Room

After defeating the first boss, use the mirror to return to the starting area. This time, take the mirror on the far right to move into the next part of the dungeon. In this area, you’ll need to activate pairs of fountains at the same time. Split your group into two teams of three, one for the left fountain and one for the right.

The first set of fountains is close together, but for the second pair, you’ll have to split up and navigate a simple maze to find them. Be careful of the red plants along the way, they don’t move or chase you, but they’ll deal damage if you get too close. Consider this a sneak peek at a mechanic you’ll face in the next boss fight.

Once both fountains are activated, a door will open, leading to the second part of the maze. Three enemies will spawn, you can choose to fight them or skip past. Complete the maze and activate the next set of fountains to open the exit doors. From there, climb the stairs to regroup with your team. Cross the bridge into the circular room, where the second boss awaits.

Rose Knight

The Rose Knight is the second boss in the Halls of Tragedy, and it comes with a few tricky mechanics to watch out for:

  • Blood Roses: The Rose Knight summons those familiar red plants from the previous area at a random player’s location. These act like AoE traps, draining the health of anyone who gets too close.
  • Shockwave Burst: This is a Fury Attack where the boss sends out a shockwave, dealing damage to the entire group. You can reduce the damage with a well-timed block.
  • Vine Pull: The Rose Knight pulls all players toward him. When this happens, quickly move away to avoid taking extra damage.

Once you defeat the Rose Knight, use the mirror to return to the starting area. This time, the middle mirror will be unlocked, leading you to the final part of the dungeon.

How to Beat Limuny Bercant

After stepping through the final mirror, turn the corner and you’ll encounter a group of mobs. Defeat them to unlock the door to the final boss room. Inside, you’ll face Limuny Bercant, the last boss of the Halls of Tragedy. Despite being a +++ difficulty boss, the fight is fairly straightforward in terms of mechanics.

Limuny Bercant, the final boss of the Halls of Tragedy, is an undead enemy with a passive ability called Deathly Mind’s Eye: Night, which increases her accuracy in the dark. Despite the +++ difficulty, her mechanics are fairly straightforward but still demand good coordination. Here’s what to watch out for:

  • Thornburst: Limuny marks players with a green circle that explodes after a short delay, leaving a damaging area of effect (DoT) on the ground. If you’re marked, move away from the group and step out of the circle before it detonates.
  • Stone Curse: Limuny targets a player with a red circle, then lets out a shout that stuns the entire group. To avoid this, everyone must quickly stack inside the red circle. Once Limuny’s health drops below 50%, the circle turns purple, but the mechanic remains the same, stack together to survive.
  • Rage Slash: Limuny unleashes a wide cone attack aimed at the tank. This can be dodged by moving in any direction and using a defensive skill. DPS and Healers should stay behind Limuny at all times to avoid getting hit.
  • Dark Pulse: Limuny performs a circular AoE attack, striking everyone around her. Use a defensive ability to block the damage.

Positioning and teamwork are key, stay behind the boss, react quickly to the circles, and support your tank.

Best Team Composition for the Halls of Tragedy

Here’s a quick breakdown of each role and their responsibilities for the Halls of Tragedy dungeon, especially during the Limuny Bercant fight:

Tank (Greatsword / Sword and Shield)

  • Weapon Combo: This is the best-in-slot setup for tanks, offering strong sustain and crowd control tools to keep enemies focused on you.
  • Dungeon Role: Your job is to pull mobs and stun mini-bosses to keep the group safe.
  • Limuny Bercant Role: Focus on keeping aggro away from your teammates. Always position yourself opposite your team when using taunts to minimize their exposure to Limuny’s AoE attacks.

DPS (Dagger / Crossbow)

  • Weapon Combo: A top-tier DPS combo with high and consistent damage output.
  • Dungeon Role: Your main task is to deal heavy damage and push the group forward by taking down enemies quickly.
  • Limuny Bercant Role: Focus on burning down the boss’s health while staying positioned away from the tank to avoid getting caught in AoE attacks.

Healer (Wand / Staff)

  • Weapon Combo: A powerful combo for healers, allowing you to heal effectively while applying debuffs.
  • Dungeon Role: Your priority is keeping the team alive through every fight.
  • Limuny Bercant Role: Pay special attention to the tank, as Limuny targets them aggressively. Ensure the group stays healthy, but keep extra focus on supporting the tank throughout the fight.
