How to Use Equipment Decorations
Decorations are an essential part of enhancing your gear, and you’ll first encounter them after defeating The Black Flame in Chapter 2-4. Initially, these Decorations appear as Mystery Orbs at the end of your hunt. After the hunt is finished, the orbs will automatically be valued and turned into a randomized selection of Decorations, which can then be used to enhance your gear.
How to Receive Decorations
At the initial stages, there is only one method of acquiring Decorations via hunts. As you progress in the game further, you’ll be able to unlock three other methods of farming them effectively.These include earning them as quest rewards from hunts, obtaining them through the Melding Pot in Suja, and receiving them as bonus rewards from High Rank investigations. Each method provides an opportunity to collect different levels of Decorations to upgrade your gear.
How to Farm Decorations Efficiently
The best way to farm high-quality Decorations is by participating in High Rank investigations. Once monsters start appearing with bonus rewards, you can select one, hit the “Create Quest” option, and use Guild Points to save it as an investigation. Each investigation allows you to hunt the selected monster up to three times, increasing your chances of earning high-rarity orbs as part of the bonus rewards for each successful completion.
Equipping Decorations
To put equipment on your Decorations, you will need to go into Change Equipment, which can be accessed from your tent or by going to the Smithy. Your armor, however, should have slots that are compatible with the Decorations you intend to use. Some armor sets have Level 1 slots, but through progressing, you can make better armor sets with better slots that can be enhanced even more.
Types and Rarities of Orbs
There are two main types of orbs: Sword Orbs, which are used for weapon slots, and Armor Orbs, which are designed for armor slots. Both types come in three different rarities. The most basic is the Mystery Orb (Level 1), followed by the Glowing Orb (Level 2), and the rarest is the Ancient Orb (Level 3). As you progress, you’ll be able to acquire higher-level orbs, which provide better enhancements for your gear.
How to Slot Decorations into Gear
Although farming Decorations takes time, slotting them into your gear is a straightforward process. Simply visit Gemma at the Smithy or use the tent at any Base Camp or Pop-up Camp. Open the Equipment Menu, select Change Equipment, and navigate to the Decorations menu. From there, choose an open slot on your weapon or armor, select the Decoration you want, and it will be applied instantly. Decorations are categorized by level, which can be identified by the number of triangles at the bottom of each jewel and the level number in its name.
