In Avowed, the Shatterscarp Pargrun Cache in Shark’s Teeth conceals valuable items like the Ornate Pargrun Key and Skald’s Armor pieces. This guide provides a concise walkthrough to help you navigate the cache, solve the lever puzzle, and claim these treasures.
How to Locate the Shatterscarp Pargrun Cache

The Pargrun Cache is located at the eastern end of the abandoned Pargrunen construction site in Shark’s Teeth. Enter through the large wooden doors of the keep. Once inside, avoid jumping down immediately. Instead, move past the elevator and head towards the dark area at the far end of the building. There, you’ll find a lockbox to loot.
Drop down into the giant hole, but to avoid damage, follow these steps: first, land on the stone floor ruins, then onto the wooden beam, and finally onto the wooden boxes below. Directly ahead, you’ll find the Last Warden’s Log, which you can read and add to your journal.
Be ready for a fight on the bottom floor. You’ll face a skeleton and some Calamity Blights before a couple of Shadows emerge from the corner. Across from the elevator, a metal gate blocks your path to the treasure. A plaque to its right provides a clue about the key’s location.
The Lever Puzzle

Head into the dark room where the Shadows appeared. Behind the elevator, you’ll find a locked door with a lever to its right. Pull the lever to unlock the door, granting access to the outside of the keep.
Next, stand on the elevator and activate the lever to ascend to the top level where you first entered. Pull the lever again, and as soon as the elevator starts descending, quickly turn around and jump onto the middle level.
Follow the walkway and make a long jump to reach a metal gate. Use Frost Damage to break it and proceed through.
This room contains several important items. At the far back, near the metal fence, you can pick up Maxims of the Pargrunen IV from the floor.
Solving the Puzzle

On the table in front of the levers, you’ll find a note providing a hint on solving the lever puzzle. To unlock the fenced area in the corner and the metal gate on the lower floor leading to the main cache, pull the second and third levers down. Then, turn the wheel to the right of the levers.
The chest in the fenced area contains a Torn Parchment note, which hints at a hidden door. To the left of the chest, you’ll find a switch—interact with it to reveal a secret door in the wall.
How to Get the Ornate Pargrun Key
Through the secret door in the wall, you’ll enter a room where you’ll discover the Ornate Pargrun Key and a lockbox containing Skald’s Gauntlets, part of the Skald armor set.
Exit this room and carefully make your way back down to the lower level, watching out for the height of your jumps. The metal gate in front of the elevator is now open, granting access to the Pargrun Cache.
Inside, you’ll find Skald’s Brigandine, a unique heavy armor, along with a piece of Corrupted Adra and a mysterious letter.
Where to Use the Ornate Pargrun Key
Go around the elevator platform and exit through the back door you unlocked earlier. Turn right and continue walking west, staying on the ground level.
As you move forward, you’ll pass Master Engineer Yor’s secret door puzzle on your left. Keep heading west until you reach a door. Inside, you’ll find a skeleton and a tombstone with an elaborate inscription providing more details about this individual. Despite the significance of the grave, the skeleton doesn’t drop any unique loot.
